I am sure each of us has at least one concealer by LA Girl. I am currently using “Pure Beige” shade of concealer from the same range. I was browsing for highlighters when I saw this one by LA Girl and I thought this could be really handy for precise highlighting and also to mix with foundations. Have a look:

My Experience with L.A. Girl HD Pro Concealer Highlighter:
Well, this did not turn out exactly what I thought. This is not your regular iridescent shiny highlighter like you would want it to be. This is rather a white paint-like formula more like your foundation to literally lighten the tone of the skin. Having said that, this is clearly not meant for warm skin tone. If you apply the lightest dab, this will still remain white. It has a paint like quality to it, which I did not love.
Coming to the brighter side, this can be mixed with your concealer and foundation to lighten or you could use this one in the centre of the face mixed with your regular concealer to brighten and lighten the foundation.
Also, this could be mixed with a darker lipstick to get a tone lighter. The product has very fine shimmer to it, so if you blend it much, you will be left with shimmer shining on your skin, under the lights.
Overall, I feel this is good for mixing purposes. For applying directly as a highlight, this is good for lighter complexions. It also gives a white cast on my warm skin case. It settles down like most concealers and does not really fade away too quickly.
Pros of L.A. Girl HD Pro Concealer Highlighter:
- Good for mixing with concealer and foundation.
- Good for pale skin for dab-dab highlighting.
- Brush on applicator.
- Easy-to-use tube.
Cons of L.A. Girl HD Pro Concealer Highlighter:
- Too paint-like and white for my skin tone.
- Shimmer spreads on the skin, when blended out.
- Not ideal for undereyes highlighting.
- Does not photograph well when layered.
Would I Recommend/Repurchase L.A. Girl HD Pro Concealer Highlighter?
Not really, if highlighting is your aim, this is not right. If you need something to mix with concealer and foundation to lighten them, this might be an option.
