LA Girl recently launched a few more makeup products and I am absolutely enjoying them. I always pick up new and unique shades of lipsticks, so I bought this ‘Manic’ from the LA Girl Matte Flat Velvet Lipstick range. Let’s get into the review!

My Experience with L.A. Girl Manic Matte Flat Velvet Lipstick:
The lipstick comes in a long black packaging with a color indicated cap. This color-coded packaging makes it easy to identify the lipstick from the stash. It is also quite safe to carry around. If you take a look at the quantity provided, this lipstick seems like good value for money. There are total 26 shades in this range. I got so confused regarding the shades but ended up picking two: Manic and Gossip.
Manic is the perfect mix of pink and purple. The shade turns out to be a beautiful magenta shade. This shade is pretty unique to me and it looks stunning on my medium skin tone. It doesn’t have any shimmer in it. It has a neutral undertone that goes well with every skin tone. The shade is quite pigmented as it requires only 2 swipes for the true color to show up on my skin tone. It can easily hide pigmented lips too. The lipstick is quite soft and smooth, so it glides easily on the lips and provides an even finish. But the texture is kind of waxy, which makes layering a bit difficult.
I don’t know why but the texture feels a little odd on the lips. But it provides a perfect matte finish that looks so amazing. It has a non-drying finish, which keeps my lips soft and moisturised. It never looks patchy and never highlights those dry patches. But, after a few hours, it settles down to a perfect matte stain and then it starts to feel a little dry. If you have really dry and chapped lips, you must use a lip balm underneath. Otherwise, this lipstick keeps my lips soft. It does not smudge or transfer a lot hence this is a good matte lipstick.
This lipstick never settles into the fine lines and does not crease. I totally love the quality! As a nice matte lipstick, it stays on for around 7-8 hours on lips. It can survive a meal without even fading. After a heavy or oily meal, it might disappear or fade from the centre of my lips. After a period of 5-6 hours, this lipstick leaves a nice, deep stain on my lips, which is quite difficult to remove. Overall, I really like the shade and the quality both. This is a unique shade for me and it looks so attractive too.
