Skin Tone: dusky with warm undertones

I was planning to try some coloured eyeliners for long. These gel glide liners from L.A girls looked affordable and impressive. So, I bought two of them. I have already reviewed the shade “Deep Bronze.” Read the review to know if I had similar experiences with this “Metallic Copper” variant.

My Experience with L.A. Girl Metallic Copper Glide Gel Liner:
Packaging: This is a matte black and sharpenable pencil. Although I find sharpenable pencils to be hygienic, I am not a big fan of these plastic versions with soft lead. While the wooden pencils can be sharpened in a precise manner, these are often prone to breakage. This pencil has color-coded pattern and fonts printed all over it. There is a colour-coded base in the pencil and a plastic cap is provided to protect the tip. Overall, the packaging is fine and travel friendly.
Shade/Texture/Pigmentation: This is a weird golden shade which looks coppery at times and golden at some other times. It reflects light and so the colour changes accordingly. I swatched it on my hand and the colours came differently in direct sunlight and away from the light. This colour is beautiful, but does not look good on my eyes. The eyes look too bare and small. Also, the colour looks too over the top at times. I never wear it alone. I use it as a base colour in gold-based eye makeup looks. The pigmentation is not really good. Even after one or two swipes, the colour does not come up completely. The shimmers look a little chunky and go not really look good on my eyes. The texture is creamy and smooth. It glides beautifully on my eyes without tugging or pulling, but it feels a little heavy on the lids. And in the waterline, the experience is horrible. The color and shimmer spread on the lashes, make it sticky and heavy. The shimmers enter the eye, stinging, making it red and watery. I was seriously scared while swatching the product. I love the colour so much, but cannot use it enough. It just acts as my base colour for golden eye makeup looks.
Staying Power: It stays on pretty long and settles in a velvety matte finish. Once it is set, it stays smudge-proof and waterproof. The shimmers also stay in place without moving. It does not crease easily, but when layered multiple times it does. I have not noticed any fading as I have always used it as eyeshadow base. Removing it with water-based cleanser can be messy and tough. I prefer a cream-based product to remove it completely. Overall, this is not a very satisfying product. The other pencils in this range are definitely far better.

- Irritates badly when applied on the waterline.
- The shimmers are too chunky.
- The colour is not at all buildable.
- Creases when multiple layers are applied.
- Gets messy when removed with water-based cleanser.

Would I Repurchase/Recommend L.A. Girl Metallic Copper Glide Gel Liner?
No to both. There are better golden eyeliners available in the market. You can opt for them.
