I have been planning to a buy a good purple liner for a while now and so I picked this L.A. Girl Gel Glide Eyeliner Pencil in the shade Paradise Purple. Read on to know how it works on me.

My Experience with L.A. Girl Paradise Purple Gel Glide Eyeliner Pencil:

The pencil comes with black color body and a clear cap. On its body the name is printed in a color coded fonts, which is purple and for that I can’t read anything on the pencil; the color combination doesn’t seem good for reading. The pencil needs to be sharpened but it doesn’t come with any sharpener. But the cap closes tightly that makes it easy to carry around.

The gel liner comes with 19 shades options; that is really a huge collection. Amongst this huge range I picked ‘Paradise Purple’. It’s a beautiful shade of purple with a mix of blue. It’s not an exact purple, it is more of a bright bluish purple but it looks extremely beautiful on eyes. It has fine shimmers that are not noticeable expect the shine. Color looks different under various lights. It goes with any skin tone. But the shade is not so pigmented; one stroke can’t provide true shade. I need to build it up and after few strokes it looks pretty good, but I expected more pigmentation.

It has a super creamy texture which glides easily on eyes without any tugging. But it has some waxy texture to it and for that it is quite difficult to apply on waterline. It always moves from waterline and I can’t build up the color easily. But it goes smoothly on eye lid and lower lash line. It has nice shiny velvety texture. It feels very light on eyes and layering never makes the application patchy.

It looks so pretty but due to its super creamy texture it needs frequent sharpening. It feels soft and glides evenly on eyes. It dries out quickly and it never transfers on lid. It’s a smudge proof and water proof gel liner but it moves and fades from corners of the eyes at the end of the day.

The gel liner survives a good time on eyes; it stays on for around 8-9 hours. It never looks smudgy; also it never creases or never settles down in fine lines. But it doesn’t stay on my water line, after few hours it moves from water line and from the corners. Also after 6 hours the color looks somewhat faded. It never irritated my eyes. It is easy to remove with a wipe. Overall, I love this shade and also the staying power; only wish it stayed on waterline too. But the shade won my heart totally and it looks so dramatic with my brown eyes.

• Packaging could have been better & no sharpener provided.
• Needs frequent sharpening.
• Not so pigmented, need multiple swipes to build up the color.
• Difficult to apply on water line.
• Moves from watery corners easily.
• Doesn’t stay long on water line.

I would love to try more shades from this range. If you want a good smudge proof gel liner then grab this beautiful shade but consider the cons before buying.
