My Take on L.A. Girl Party Pink Lipliner:

Packaging: The lipliner comes in a wooden velvety finish black body, with an airtight black cap. The pencil is the standard sharpenable one. A small area at the bottom of the pencil is color coded, so it gets easy to identify a particular shade. There is definitely a little product wastage while sharpening and because the lipliner is very soft, there are chances of the tip breaking easily. Overall, the packaging looks decent and good for the inexpensive price.

Shade: Party Pink as the name suggests is a perfect party lip color. It’s a cool-toned deep plummy pink color. This color instantly brightens up my complexion. This kind of pink will complement very fair to slightly dusky skin tone nicely. Being a bright shade, it’s not very apt to wear to offices, but one can use this as a base for light plum-pink or deep pink lipsticks.

Texture and pigmentation: The lip liner is very dry and hard in texture. It tugs and pulls my lips during application. The texture is really very dry, it cakes up after layering and chips off from lips. The lipliner lacks pigmentation and the color is nonbuildable. No matter how many times you swipe it on your lips, it’ll partially cover the imperfection and pigmented areas of lips. As you can see in the pictures, the pigmented areas of my lips can be seen easily. Being very drying in texture, the lipliner easily exaggerates dry and flaky lips. Nicely moisturized and exfoliated lips are necessary for a smoother application.

Staying power: The liner lasted on me for exactly 3 hours and then I sipped a cup of coffee which took half the color off from my lips. And after that I ate my lunch. After the lunch there was no sign of color on my lips. It was completely wiped off. The only thing is that being very dry in texture; the liner doesn’t transfer easily to anything.

Pros of L.A. Girl Party Pink Lipliner:

• Very pretty deep, cool-toned pink.
• Being a deeper shade of pink, it’ll suit almost every skin tone.
• Is transferproof and smudgeproof .
• Price is very reasonable.
• As the lipliner is lightly pigmented, it can be worn as a tint on a daily basis.

Cons of L.A. Girl Party Pink Lipliner:

• Pigmentation is very poor.
• Texture is really hard and dry; I have to literally tug and pull to apply this on my lips.
• Doesn’t survive full meals.
• Becomes cakey upon layering.
• Very drying on lips and can’t be worn alone without a hydrating lipstick or gloss.
• Not suitable for extremely pigmented and dry lips.
• Exaggerates flaky and unhealthy condition of lips.
• Low staying power.
• Pigmentation is nonbuildable.
• Will not make any lipstick last longer.

Will I Recommend/Repurchase L.A. Girl Party Pink Lipliner?
No, I am neither purchasing this again, nor gonna recommend this shade to anyone. This was a big bummer for me and being an L.A. Girl fan, I had high hopes from this one, but it failed badly. I have noticed a huge difference in the formulation of these lip liners. Some tend to be very smooth, creamy and moisturizing and some are quite pigmented and long wearing. But this one’s a dud.
