I have fallen in love with the hype about Pro HD foundations. Firstly, I bought their concealers and the pressed powder. Then, when I saw the number of shades in their foundation range, I went ahead and bought a shade – Nude Beige. Though it turned out to be a bit lighter than my skin tone, I do have some points to share about this foundation.

My Experience with L.A. Girl Pro Coverage HD Longwear Illuminating Foundation:
First of all, I would like to mention that this has turned out to be a really expensive foundation. This has a lot of shades from chocolate to porcelain. This also has a white foundation mixer which can be used to lighten your foundation in winters, when you are less tanned. The foundation has the illuminating tag to it. It is indeed a dewy foundation. Even in winters, this adds a dewy look to my skin. When I apply it on, I can see it brings out the shine to the parts of the face which are hit by light directly.
Honestly, I would say half a pump is all you need. When I used my Real Techniques Expert Face Brush with one pump, I felt, I am wearing too much foundation. Another time, I used a pump with a flat top kabuki-like Sigma F80, again it seemed a lot for my face. The best way to use it is to use half a pump and dab it onto the skin and blend it with fingers. If you like a dewy finish, stay with it. If you want to mattify some areas lightly, dust it.
There is nothing HD about it, it blurs pores like any other foundation does. The shine it lends might mentally irritate oily skin girls. If you set it with powder, it would last you for 5-6 hours, with two touch ups. I wore this at 2 PM and it stayed fresh until 10 PM. I could see a veil of foundation and my skin was glowing, this was including two powder touch ups. So, this is a long lasting foundation for my oily skin. I don’t think it oxidises much. The coverage is also fairly medium on me. You can build it up but then, it would add much shine.
Pros of L.A. Girl PRO Coverage HD Longwear Illuminating Foundation:
- A lot of shades to choose from.
- Illumination and glowing skin look.
- Lasts long on my oily skin.
- Does not melt or get patchy.

Cons of L.A. Girl PRO Coverage HD Longwear Illuminating Foundation:
- Some may not like the shine.
- Not that effective in blurring pores.
- Expensive In India.
- Coverage is quite average.
