My Experience with L.A. Girl Silver Streak Gel Glide Eyeliner Pencil:

Let’s begin with the packaging of the product. The eyeliner comes in a matte black colored sharpenable pencil form. This matte black pencil is printed with color-coded patterns and fonts all over it. The base is also color coded. The silver fonts on this pencil look very bright. The pencil has a clear cap that does not shut with any click or anything. Hence, it is necessary to shut the cap tightly as it slips off easily. This is a sharpenable pencil that needs to be sharpened after every use to get a fresh pointed tip. The pencil does not come with any sharpener. Overall, the packaging is fine and travel friendly but the clear cap looks a little flimsy.

The shade “Silver Streak” is a glittery silver eyeliner shade. It has too much bling, so it is not fit for everyday wear, but it surely is a great option to create dramatic eye looks. I tried creating a double eyeliner look in the eye swatch attached below. The eyeliner has silver shimmers in it, which looks a little dramatic but not very chunky. The pigmentation of the eyeliner is decent, but I had expected it to be a little more pigmented, so it requires multiple swipes to build up the color properly.

The texture of this eyeliner is lovely. I really did not expect such a nice texture. It glides super easily and smoothly on the eyelids without any tugging or pulling. The color is easily buildable on my eyelids but it gets really difficult to build up the color on my waterline. This eyeliner sets to a velvety finish after sometime. The formula is lightweight and does not feel like anything on the eyelids. The eyeliner is pretty safe for contact lens wearers. It glides evenly on the eyelids and never gets patchy. I thought the shimmers might budge but I was glad to see that the shimmers in the eye pencil stay in place throughout the day. The pencil is waterproof and smudge-proof. It does not have that tendency to crease. It looks so fresh almost all day long.

The lasting power of this eye pencil is lovely. It lasted for more than 8 hours or so on my eyelids with a little fading from the corners, but the color fades away after some 4-5 hours from my waterline. There’s not much of a smudging issue. The eyeliner can be taken off using a very good eye makeup remover, just that the shimmers are a bit difficult to remove. Overall, I am totally obsessed with these eye pencils from LA Girl.
