I have recently hoarded a lot of nail paints and most of them are matte. I wanted to pick a top coat that will allow me to make them glossy whenever I want to. Also, I always love having a transparent color in my stash. This one is too affordable and I did not think twice before buying this. Read the review to know more about it.

My Experience with L.A. Colors Base Coat/Top Coat Treatment:
Packaging: The product comes in a thick, round, transparent glass bottle with a black cap. A few instructions are printed on the bottle. The brush is attached to the cap and it picks enough product to cover one nail at a time. Overall, I have no complains with the packaging.
Color and Consistency: The product is completely transparent like clear nail paint. It has neither too runny, nor too thick consistency. It spreads easily on the nail and forms a thin film. It gives a super glossy finish when applied over any other color. When used on its own, it makes the nails look super glossy and manicured. However, it takes long to dry. As base, it takes 15-20 minutes. As top coat, it takes longer. As I personally prefer fast drying products, this disappointed me. Also, do not apply it as a top coat before your nail color dries. It may bubble up and looks bad on the nails.
Effectivity: When used as a base coat, this paint fills in the ridges and provides a super smooth base for the nail paint. It makes the application easier and does not stain the nails. As top coat, it makes the nails looks super shiny. When used alone, it makes the nails look very healthy. It did not show any long-lasting result in making the nails healthier.
Overall, considering the price, this is a good transparent nail color and a great top coat to make your nail colors shine.
