L.A. Colors Duo Tone Eyeshadow Toasty Review

Skin Tone: Medium fair, warm undertones

Hello girls,

I had hauled a few eyeshadow duos from LA Colors, but unfortunately, I received a few broken pieces. Since it was an online purchase, I could not opt for refund or return. And the colors were pretty, so I decided to mend the eyeshadows and keep them. Today, I am reviewing L. A. Colors Duo Tone Eyeshadow in “Toasty.”

My Experience with L.A. Colors Duo Tone Eyeshadow Toasty:

This eyeshadow comes in a round, black-colored plastic palette with a see-through lid. The clear lid helps to easily spot the shade from makeup stash if you own more than one of these eye shadow duos. The brand name is embossed on the lid. The lid fits very securely with an audible click, but the palette is very fragile and I ended breaking the lid of the palette. There is a mirror and an applicator provided with this palette. Overall, the packaging is flimsy and fragile.

“Toasty” is a combination of gorgeous subtle brown eye shadows for creating soft eye looks. The shades are beautiful for creating soft party eye makeup look. Now, let us discuss each shade one by one.

LA Colors Duo Tone Eyeshadow Toasty

The first shade in the palette is a shimmery rose gold kind of a color. This eye shadow has finely milled shimmers in it, which gives it a shimmery finish. The shimmers are subtle and do not look chunky. It is an eyelid color, which would show up on most of the Indian skin tones easily.
The second shade is a matte variant. It is a soft brown shade, which is totally devoid of any sheen or shimmer. It is ideal shade to be used as a crease color. It has a perfect matte finish.

The texture of these shadows is soft and smooth. The formula is lightweight and feels comfortable on the eyes, but it is slightly hard to blend and goes a bit patchy if not blended properly. The formula is kind of powdery and both the shades have fallout issues. These eyeshadows have quite low pigmentation and the color needs to be built up nicely to make the color pop. The colors in the palette fallout easily, which needs to be cleaned for a finished and polished look. These shadows do not crease.

These shadows last for approximately 3 to 4 hours on my eyelids with an eye primer underneath. So, the longevity of the eye shadow is pretty low. Overall, I do not really like the quality of the product.
