My Experience with L.A. Colors Moisture Cream Lipstick Angelic:
The lipstick comes in a basic, black-colored plastic tube with a clear plastic cap. The side of the tube has the shade name written on it. The tube is color coded; this helps to easily spot the shade from makeup stash. The cap does not shut very tightly and may come off while carrying it around. I have to be extra careful while carrying this lipstick to avoid any mess. Also, a small part of the lipstick peeps out of the tube, so a little care is required while removing/placing the cap to prevent the bullet from getting damaged. The shape of the lipstick bullet shaped helps to achieve précise application. Overall, the packaging is very ordinary.
“Angelic” is a pretty, dusty mauve kind of a color. It is a pretty everyday shade for fair to medium skin tones. This is ideally suitable for daytime wear as well, as the shade is subtle and do not look over the top. The brand claims to be a creme lipstick, but the lipstick sets to a creamy matte kind of a finish. The lipstick is average in pigmentation and it needs to be layered on for full opaque coverage. Two-three swipes are required to build up the color on the lips. The finish of this lipstick is smooth and non streaky.
The texture of this shade is smooth. It does not drag on the lips. It does not highlight dry patches and gives smooth, healthy-looking lips. It is not too lightweight but it is not heavy either. I can still feel the presence of the lipstick on my lips but it does not feel sticky or heavy in terms of texture. The lipstick is smudge-proof and does not mess around the lips.
The formula is not heavily transferring, but still, there is a little transfer of color. It survives normal sipping and light snacks easily, but it fades away after a full meal, leaving light stain behind. The stain looks quite cheap and hence it requires reapplication. The formula is not drying and keeps my lips moisturized pretty well.
The lipstick lasts for around 4-5 hours on my lips with a little fading. This shade leaves a light stain behind, which can be easily taken down with a good makeup remover.
