My Experience with L.A. Colors Moisture Cream Lipstick Sugarcoated:

The lipstick comes in a basic, black-colored plastic tube with a clear plastic cap. The side of the tube has the shade name written on it. The tube is color coded; this helps to easily spot the shade from makeup stash. The cap does not shut very tightly and may come off while carrying around. So, I have to be extra careful while carrying this lipstick to avoid any mess. Also, a small part of the lipstick peeps out of the tube, so a little care is required while removing/placing the cap to prevent the bullet from getting damaged. The shape of the lipstick bullet shaped helps to achieve precise application. Overall, the packaging is very ordinary.

LA Colors Moisture Cream Lipstick in Sugarcoated

“Sugarcoated” is a reddish-pink kind of shade suitable for most of the Indian skin tones. It is a pretty shade for everyday use. The color is not too vibrant and can be carried easily. This lipstick has small bluish holographic kind of micro shimmers in it, which gives it a frosty finish. I am not really a fan of such finish, so I particularly don’t like this shade much.

The brand claims it to be crème lipstick, but the lipstick sets to a creamy matte kind of finish after a few minutes of application. The lipstick is decent in pigmentation. Two-three swipes are required to build up the color on the lips. It completely hides pigmented lips and looks even. The finish of this lipstick is smooth and non streaky.

The texture of this shade is smooth. It does not drag on the lips as well. It does not highlight dry patches and gives smooth, healthy-looking lips. It is not too lightweight but it is not heavy either. I can still feel the presence of the lipstick on my lips, but it does not feel sticky or heavy in terms of texture. The lipstick is smudge-proof and does not mess around the lips. The formula is not heavily transferring but still there is a little transfer of color. The formula is non-drying and keeps my lips moisturized well.

The lipstick lasts for around 4-5 hours on my lips with a little fading but this shade leaves a light stain behind after meals. The stain looks quite cheap and hence the lipstick requires a reapplication. The stain can be taken off with a good makeup remover.
