My Experience with L.A. Colors Pout Super Shine Lip Gloss Muah:

This lip gloss comes in a small, cylindrical, plastic tube. The tube is transparent and it has an off-white cap bearing the brand’s tagline on it. The see-through tube helps to easily spot the shade. Also, there is a small label on the cap, which indicates the shade name and ingredients list. There is a small doe-foot applicator attached with the cap. This applicator is soft and easy to work with, but it picks up only a small amount of the lip gloss, so I have to dip it again and again to apply it properly. Other than this, the packaging is leak proof and does not occupy much space. So, overall the packaging is basic and travel friendly.

“Muah” is a cherry red kind of shade, which will easily flatter most of the Indian skin tones. It is a sheer finish red lip gloss. This shade is good for using on an everyday basis. It is good for college-going girls and also for those who do not feel comfortable in wearing lipsticks on regular basis. These glosses are sheer ones and do not impart full coverage. So, ideally these are not suitable for people who have pigmented lips, but these can be used on top of the regular lip color for that soft and healthy sheen.

The brand claims it to be a high shine lip gloss but actually it has a very soft sheen. There are some micro shimmers in this lip gloss, which are finely milled into it and do not look chunky on the lips. The shimmers are not really noticeable from far away. They contribute a healthy sheen to the lip gloss and gives nice wet look to the lips. I had mentioned already that these are very sheer in terms of pigmentation and needs to be layered on to show up the color properly. It is definitely not capable in covering high lip pigmentation.

The texture of the lip gloss is smooth and creamy. It glides smoothly on the lips without any tugging or pulling. The formula is thick and I would not say that is lightweight but it is not really heavy either. It feels comfortable on the lips. I can feel the presence of this gloss on my lips but it does not feel annoying. It is not sticky like most of the drugstore glosses. They look too shiny initially and later on the shine settles a bit and gives healthy sheen to the lips. The color spreads evenly on the lips without getting patchy.

The lip gloss is not drying. It is not too hydrating but my lips when this lip-gloss is on my lips. The lip-gloss has mild vanilla fragrance, which is slightly strong and it does stay for quite long so this can be bothersome for people with sensitive noses. The longevity of this lip gloss is something, which has really disappointed me. It stays for around 2 hours on my lips. It does not survive even light meals and fades away completely. It loses its glossy sheen in the mean time and also the color fades away gradually. So, frequent reapplications are required. This happens to most of the sheer finish lip-glosses so this is why I don’t mind reapplying it but it can be annoying at times as it wipes off completely and does not leave any kind of tint behind.
