My Experience with LA Colors Matte Lipstick Charmed:

The lipstick comes in a basic black coloured plastic tube with a clear plastic cap. The side of the tube has the shade name written on it. The tube is color-coded and the transparent cap helps to easily spot the shade from the makeup stash. The cap does not shut very tightly and may come off while carrying around. So, you have to be careful while travelling. The lipstick shape is decent enough to line and fill the lips nicely without any uneven coverage. The lipstick bullet sticks to the cap surface and causes a distortion in the shape of the bullet; I don’t like the packaging personally.

LA Colors Matte Lipstick Charmed is a very bright, cool-toned Barbie pink color. The color instantly brightens up my face and looks very flattering on medium skin tones. I love to wear such bright shades for summer. This lipstick might wash out medium skin tones. It will be a good shade for parties and weddings. The lipstick has a beautiful fragrance which I absolutely love; however, it could bother people who are sensitive to fragrance in their skincare and makeup products.

The pigmentation of LA Colors Matte Lipstick Charmed is amazing. On my lips, it just needed a single swipe for getting the true colour pay off. For pigmented lips, you might need more swipes for opaque coverage. Be rest assured that, this will hide lip pigmentation well.

True to its description, the lipstick sets to a true velvety matte finish, but the finish is not powdery, rather it gives a very healthy look to the lips. It glides on my lips nicely but causes some pull and tug. Also, on very dry lips, this can stick to the dry patches. So, you have to make sure to exfoliate and prep your lips prior to application hence the ultra-moisturizing claim is not true. It does not highlight the fine lines of my lips though. This lipstick is not completely transferproof. It transfers slightly but that can be ignored as the colour intensity does not vary much due to this. The formula is comfortable but these are not extremely lightweight on the lips.

The staying power of LA Colors Matte Lipstick Charmed is about 4-5 hours on my lips after which it starts fading from the centre of my lips. This lipstick can survive having normal drinks or snacks but having oily food will fade away the colour intensity. When this fades away, it does not leave behind any stain on my lips. However, I need to reapply it. Reapplication issue gets somewhat resolved with darker shades. Removal of this lipstick is also very easy. It gets removed easily using the Garnier Micellar Water or any other makeup remover.
