LA Colors Mystic Foundation/ Concealer Stick

LA Colors Mystic Foundation Concealer Stick

I have had this foundation cum concealer for the longest time in my kit. I do not remember when I picked it up, but I was very excited when I got it because it was a foundation cum concealer in a stick form. It is similar to my favourite Oriflame Duo Core foundation in packaging and texture, but did it work for me in the same way, please read on to find out.

My Take on LA Colors Mystic Foundation Concealer Stick:

I bought the foundation stick in Honey Beige shade at a time when I thought foundations were available only in two shades, one for fair people and the other one for dark. LA Colors is originally available in 12 shades, but the place from where I picked it up, there were only a few shades and I picked up Honey Beige thinking that it was nearest to my complexion. It came real cheap and I didn’t bother much. This foundation stick comes in a very cheap twist-up packaging and the cap is very fragile, but for 4 dollars, there shouldn’t be many hopes. Actually, I broke the foundation stick’s cap, that’s what I want to say .

LA Colors Mystic Foundation Swatch
The entire stick with cap comes in see-through plastic, so one can know how much of the foundation is still remaining. The stick smells like Pond’s talc powder. The texture of the foundation is creamy, which when applied gives a chalky and cakey effect. I found it completely useless because it was giving a rubbery kind of feel on my face and it had formed a horrible whitish cast. I thought maybe I had picked up the wrong shade and I tried it on one of my friends with a fairer complexion and on her too, it caked just like mine and left a whitish cast. I tried mixing it up with the liquid foundations that I had, but it didn’t work in any which way I tried. So, for a long time, this LA Colors Mystic Foundation has been lying unused and with Cherry Culture’s and LA Colors popularity growing and many of us ordering things from there, I thought I could review it and alert others from buying a bad product.

Pros of LA Colors Mystic Foundation Concealer Stick:

Since it is so cheap, like at 4 dollars per stick and 2.50 dollars in sale, I didn’t regret buying it and not using it.

Cons of LA Colors Mystic Foundation Concealer Stick:

• Gives a cakey effect.
• Forms a whitish cast on any sort of complexion.
• Cheap and fragile packaging.

Will I Buy it Again?

Nope.

Do I Recommend?

Nahinnnnnnnnnn, the whole purpose of this review is to alert buyers off this product because currently there is a sale on cherry culture and this is on sale.

IMBB Rating:

1/5…….I am giving it 1 because of the little money I spent on it….can I give it a zero????

  1. hahha..definitely zero. I mean ELF is also kinda inexpesnive but they come up with decent products so price is certainly not an excuse..maybe some products can be a ‘minus’ as well 🙂

thanks for the warning though.. :-*

    1. Aruna……. :woot: :woot: :woot: :woot: :woot: :woot: ELF has good products……..Aruna, but the auto lip liner by LA colors is relatively good, but I broke even that

        1. i absolutely love the stick make-up—- i wear it all the time- it gives me a movie-star effect. i love it being thick and i also use the la colors power over it- i use the medium. i think it is wonderful– i love all of la colors in nail polish- lipstick- and eyeshadow. i hope they don’t stop making it……………………………………………………………………………….

  2. Know what..you should try using it as a spot concealer..it’s so thick, it might work great for that. Use a small small brush to apply small amount only over blemish… ?:) ?:)

    1. Nahin Rads…it terribly bad…I tried….but you know how kumayam looks…same way it gives the coverage……….
