Today I will be reviewing my second favorite product from the humongous haul that I did. It’s one of the jumbo eye pencils. I went crazy and got myself 5 of these. Let’s get started with ‘Summer Love’.
Price: I got it at 1$!

My Experience with L.A. Colors Summer Love Jumbo Eye Pencil:
Packaging: These jumbo eye pencils come in thick, matte black pencil form. It has a plastic cap to protect it. The body has the ingredients and name of the product printed in white. The other end of the pencil has been painted in the same shade as the eye pencil to recognize it quickly. The pencil looks cute and chubby. It isn’t that big so you can carry it in your makeup pouches easily.
Color/Pigmentation: I picked ‘Summer Love’ because it looked like a gorgeous green color. When I swatched it, I saw that the color and shimmer together do not go that well. Unlike other jumbo eye pencils, the shimmer particles aren’t finely milled. The silver shimmer doesn’t look good. Although the color is really beautiful, the shimmers make it look cheap, gaudy and bad. The pigmentation is buildable.
Texture: These eye pencils are creamy and glide on without any trouble on the eye lids as well as on the waterline. But it isn’t as creamy as the other ones. You feel the shimmer but it is easy to blend it if you are using it as an eye shadow or as an eye shadow base.
Staying power: These eye pencils stay for a pretty long time. It does smudge a little bit. When it fades it leaves the silver shimmer on your eyes making them look bad.
Summing up the pros and cons…
Pros of LA Colors Summer Love Jumbo Eye Pencil:
• Chubby and cute packaging.
• Can be used as an eye pencil, eye shadow base or an eye shadow itself.
• Smooth texture.
• Very well pigmented.
• Stays for quite long.
• Suits all skin tones.
Cons of LA Colors Summer Love Jumbo Eye Pencil:
• Not easily available in India.
• Would have preferred without the shimmer!

Final Verdict:
I won’t repurchase this for sure. And I wouldn’t recommend this particular shade!

I love all the shades except relaxation, even with shimmer they all look gorgeous.
Oh my, these shades are soooo pretty that I am very sad that this shade was not as smooth as the others.. I loooooovvveeee relaxation <3 <3 😀
