Skin-tone: Fair to medium
I usually use bright pinks and reds and have always stayed away from nudes and peaches since I wasn’t sure on, how I could carry it. So this time I experimented a bit and got some soft lighter shades. Here is the review of “hush” from this range
Price: Rs 550

My Experience with LA Girl Matte Flat Velvet Lipstick Hush Review:
Packaging: The lipstick comes in a basic black packaging with “matte” written over it. The bottom of the lipstick is colour coded, which makes it easy to spot the shade. The entire range has a huge variety of shades to choose from, ranging from bolds to neutrals. The price range is good but we also have many more good matte ranges at this price. The lipstick closes with a click and it is very handy as well.
Shade: “Hush” is a subtle peach shade, with some light pink and nude hints in it. I expected it to be a nude shade but it has a lot of peachy hints. I think this is a lighter version of “blessed” from this range. It is apt for day-wear and can be used daily for college and office as well. The colour looks beautiful and natural on the lips but this will suit only a limited skin-tones. It might not look the best on medium to dusky skin-tones. I liked this shade a lot but I have surely seen better peaches and this shade is easily dupable.
Texture, pigmentation and finish: The texture is super smooth and glides nicely on my lips. But, it does cling on the dry patches initially, which makes it more visible since it is bolder shade. It also settles in fine lines. The pigmentation is good and appears in 1-2 swipes itself. The finish is a classy matte one with a sheen.
Staying power: The staying power is average of 3-4 hours. The colour stays as it is, if I do not eat anything, but the moment I eat, the colour from the centre of the lips gets ripped off and there is re-application needed.
Pros of LA Girl Matte Flat Velvet Lipstick Hush Review:

• Variety of shades available to choose from.
• Smooth texture.
• Subtle peach shade which is great for daily wear.
• Does not dry out lips.
• Nice matte finish.
• Lasts for 3-4 hours.
• Not tested on animals.
Cons of LA Girl Matte Flat Velvet Lipstick Hush Review:
• Average matte range.
• Clings to dry patches initially.
• Settles in fine lines.
• Not suitable for medium to dusky skin-tones.
IMBB Rating: 3.5/5
Will I Repurchase/recommend LA Girl Matte Flat Velvet Lipstick Hush Review?
No, I wouldn’t! I have tired far better lipsticks than this one. I liked how cute the shade is but I wouldn’t grab it again.
Conclusion: I think trying brighter shades would have been better than the lighter ones from this range!
