Today, I am reviewing a duo compact of an anti-ageing portable lip and eye balm from La Prairie. This is a beautiful gift to me and will treasure and use it. I am in love with the look of the duo compact which is handy to carry on-the-go and while traveling. A chic case holds a compact with two separate compartments; an eye cream gel in one and a lip balm in the other. This elegant accessory is a must for any time; anywhere beauty fix as it reduces the appearance of lines, wrinkles and fatigue instantly.

Packaging:  The anti-ageing eye and lip perfection a porter is a two-in-one compact that contains an eye cream gel and a lip balm. The sleek silver duo compact comes in a white zippered case, packed in a silver cardboard box. Both the compact and the zipper have the “La Prairie” signature logo. The compact has two compartments with individual clips. Upper deck contains eye cream gel and a mirror and the lower deck contains a lip balm and a mirror. The upper section clip is labeled eyes and the bottom section clip is labelled lips to avoid any confusion. To open any sections just press the respective clip.

Application:

For Eyes:  Sweep finger over eye cream gel and smooth gently around the eye contour under the eye. May be applied over foundation under eye area for touch ups and on the eyelid, as desired.

For Lips:  Sweep finger over lip balm and apply directly to the lips alone or prior to lipstick. If desired, you can dab it over applied lipstick. Apply during the day to relieve the feeling of dryness, may also be used as a hydrating night treatment for lips.

My Experience with La Prairie Anti-Aging Eye and Lip Perfection A Porter:

This duo compact is a wonderful product gifted to me. I like La Prairie products; however, price is the main constraint. La Prairie anti-ageing eye and lip perfection a porter is a travel-friendly duo that can be easily tucked into hand bags on the go and while traveling.

Eye Cream Gel:

The eye cream gel has a balmy consistency that leaves eyes incredibly moisturised and does not ruin makeup. I apply it under the eye area, continuing over the upper lid and the brow bone. I prefer applying after shower when I am applying my morning cream on my face which I do not use near the eye contour. It has a gel-based balm texture and sometimes tends to burn my eyes. After application, eyes feel creamy to touch, but not greasy. Eye contour area feels very smooth, soft and supple. It also helps in smoothening fine lines near eye contour and instantly brightens up the eyes. Eye makeup stays well on this eye cream. I first apply my face powder compact or powder foundation on the eye cream gel and then wear any eye makeup.

Lip Balm:  The lip balm is very smooth and soft to apply, has a thin balmy texture. It is not greasy and gives a slick shine to the lips. I like to apply it in the morning after my shower or after washing my face with a facial wash, when I am applying my morning cream. It does not dry or irritate my lips. I have used it under some lipsticks that tend to dry my lips for protection and sometimes on top of a very dry matte lipstick; gives a semi-gloss shine to my lips.

Both the lip balm and eye cream gel are mildly fragranced and makes me feel simply delicate and divine.

• As claimed, lip balm swells water into the skin to fill in the wrinkles and plump up lips quickly.
• Eye cream gel instantly brightens the eye contour area.
• Diffuses light to disguise imperfections and give a “wide awake” and refreshed look.
• Moisturises the skin and keeps it soft and supple.
• Prevents and protects the skin from dryness and flaking.

Cons of La Prairie Anti-Aging Eye and Lip Perfection A Porter:

• Price is the main constraint, but worth it.
• The eye cream gel tends to slightly irritate my eyes.
•  As claimed does not plump my lips.

Conclusion:  Since this is a cherished gift for me and very handy while travelling, I have kept it aside for only travel purpose. It is a chic-looking compact for my eyes and lips and can be easily tucked into my hand bag 🙂
