My Experience with La Prairie Essence of Skin Caviar Eye Complex
It is a liquid gel like under eye essence. You may use it on your own or underneath your eye cream if you have dry under eyes such as mine. It comes in a glass bottle with a dropper. Initially I almost always used to pick more product than required but with continuous usage I am able to control the amount of gel I require. You just need a drop of this for both eyes.
It is a clear gel- liquid. It almost feels watery on the skin. You apply it and it gets absorbed within a few seconds. You do feel the tightened effect underneath your eyes. I mostly apply under eye cream after using this but sometimes I also skip the step. Especially if I have a long day ahead and I want to be sure of my concealer staying on all day long, I mostly skip the eye cream and just use this essence. I always notice that it makes my under eye makeup last better than if I were to use an under eye cream.
That said, I was mostly disappointed with this product. I actually feel that it is rather worsened my under eye area. It did nothing for my under eye puffiness or adding hydration to my under eye area. Infact I kept using it long enough on its own to see if it was showing any results. It did not. My under eyes rather cried for help and I had to get back to using my Forest Essentials Under Eye Cream.
Plus I did not like this being marketed as a caviar product, it actually features last on the ingredient list.
So this was a fail for me. Expect the instant tightening effect I feel after using this, I really didn’t see any results using this. 🙁
