It boasts the benefits of La Prairie’s exclusive cellular complex that nourishes and energises along with vitamin C and aloe vera that soothes and conditions. Its moisturising complex smoothes the lips while firming and restoring fullness.
My Experience with La Prairie Quiet Fig Cellular Lip Colour Effects:
Packaging: La Prairie cellular colour effects is packaged in a luxurious and an elegant, cylindrical shaped, chrome-coloured tube, with a screw on cap which has an applicator attached. The cap has a unique chrome coloured band, which resembles a bunch of caviar. This tube has a transparent good quality plastic covering on two sides, which exhibits the lip colour and helps to keep track of the quantity. This exquisite tube comes packed in a chrome coloured cardboard box.
I have tried very few products from the “La Prairie” skin care range. This cellular lip effects “Quiet Fig” is my first pick from their makeup range. However, this cellular lip treatment is two in one, lip colour combined with lip treatment. Quiet fig, is similar to the colour of a fig jam. It has pearlescent micro shimmer which is non gritty. It gives sheer to intense coverage to my pigmented lips. Two swipes give an opaque finish to my pigmented lips.
The texture is smooth and creamy but ultra satiny and lightweight, glides smoothly and applies effortlessly. Pigmentation is quite good and lasting power is three to four hours, without eating or drinking. Mildly fades after having light snacks or drinks, leaving a mild glacé on the lips. However, gets completely wiped off, after heavy meals, but lips feel moisturised and nourished. Made of rich caviar extracts, keeps my lips nourished and moisturised, does not dry or dehydrate my sensitive lips, instead prevents flaky or dry skin. It is fortified with anti-oxidants, protects, soothes and conditions my lips.
The colour is sheer, gives a translucent finish and luminous shine to my lips. This shade can be worn under lipsticks as a lip treatment or layer over matte lipsticks for a luminous finish. Either ways, it keeps lips moisturised and nourished, helps firm and gives a fuller look to my lips. Well! It’s La Prairie, so all pros and no cons!! But I do have a problem here! This lip glacé has the fragrance of a cream. When I layer it on my lips, I find this fragrance a bit overwhelming. No doubt it’s a beautiful and exotic fragrance which I would love wearing on my facial skin as a cream, however, I feel the fragrance is quite heavy for my lips. Gradually, as my senses got used to this fragrance, I am okay with it. Price is not an issue even though it’s expensive, delivers all that it claims.

Yes, I do recommend to all. I will definitely repurchase this shade or try a different one from their range. For me, it’s more of a lip treatment product with sheer colour and translucent glacé, so I am all game for it!
