Skin Tone: Medium to Dusky.
Nowadays, I am really into La Roche-Posay products. And, I spotted a new range called ‘Sensi White Range ‘ from this brand and I quickly picked up the Sensi white Lotion. Let us see whether it is a “BUY “ or “BYE “.
Price: $29.99 AUD for 200 ml.
SENSI WHITE LOTION is enriched with Gingko and LHA to slough off over-pigmented dead cells and smooth skin’s surface.
Highly moisturising lotion, with soothing and anti-irritant La Roche-Posay thermal spring water.
Tolerance demonstrated on Asian sensitive and reactive skin.
Clear and gentle, the lotion glides over skin to soften, soothe and perfectly prime skin for whitening treatments.
My Experience with La Roche-Posay Sensi White Lotion:
La Roche-Posay is a much-raved skincare brand and they have launched a brightening range with around 3 products here in Australia. The products are Sensi White Cleansing foam, Sensi white Lotion and Sensi white Cream. There is also an essence in this range which is not available in Australia, it is “La Roche-Posay Sensi white Essence “ which is already reviewed in IMBB.
La Roche-Posay Sensi White Lotion is a lightweight brightening lotion that contains LHAs (an antibacterial sloughing agent similar to BHAs that slowly penetrates into the outer layers of dead skin to encourage a high rate of exfoliation without being too intense or harsh), salicylic acid (an exfoliating BHA) and Ginkgo Biloba extract (a mild antibacterial and anti-inflammatory agent). It’s a true brightening lotion and not a whitening or bleaching agent, so it doesn’t create a ghost-face or leave obvious whitening marks. It is a clear white lotion that looks like water with a slightly thicker consistency and it is more like a serum.
This lotion needs to be applied after cleansing the face. I used this lotion after cleansing and toning and it gave me a little sting at the first usage. So, next time I used this before the toner and it was OK, but now, even when I use it after the toner, I don’t get the stinging feeling. I have been using this for more than three weeks in the morning and evening and I am really loving it. This product is very moisturising and makes the skin very soft and supple.
As for its brightening claims, it really made my skin radiant and I could see a change from within. My skin has become more beautiful and I could see a difference in my skin tone. I have a lot of uneven skin tone which is completely changed now and I am really enjoying my glowing skin. Within one week of using this lotion, my husband asked me whether I have done a facial as my face was very bright. This lotion also comprises of their famous “Thermal Spring Water”, thus making the skin more soft and healthy. This product has a mild sweet smell which I enjoy a lot.
The biggest downside to this product is its availability – not all stocklist of La Roche-Posay carry the Sensi White line, actually, I couldn’t find the Sensi White Cream in the store where I got this lotion. Thus, this product has become my current skincare favourite as it makes my skin soft, radiant and beautiful and lives up to its claims. I am eager to try more products from this line.
Pros of La Roche-Posay Sensi White Lotion:
- Makes the skin soft.
- Gives a glowing skin.
- Reduces uneven Skin tone.
- Live up to its claims.
Cons of La Roche-Posay Sensi White Lotion:
IMBB Rating: 4.75/5
