From the last few months I have been travelling a lot. Well travelling has always been fun, but all the after effects become visible on my skin later. I have got combination skin which is on the drier side. Now I have realised that it is ultra-sensitive and mere change of water or climate can cause breakouts and pigmentation. Phew! There are mouthful of stuff to speak about my skin; but in short, I can say that my skin needed some very serious care. I was in search of some miracle brand that would take care of this situation.
So as usual, I rushed to scan all the beauty stores for some serious skincare haul and there came to my rescue the French brand, LA ROCHE POSAY; I found their stocks at Health and Glow store. The SA was so very kind, she helped in selecting the entire CTM range from LPR. I was so happy to have a designed set of product range exclusively for my skin. I was suggested Toleriane Softening Foaming Gel, LPR Thermal Spring Water and the Toleriane riche moisturiser. Today I will review the La Roche Posay Toleriane Riche Soothing Protective Cream.

My Take on La Roche Posay Toleriane Riche Soothing Protective Cream:
Packaging:
The cream comes in simple white tube with a flip cap. The cap is tight and shuts with a click. The tube is ultra-handy and can be stuffed easily into the purse. The packaging is simple and not very attractive, yet sturdy and travel-friendly.
Consistency and Smell:
The product is fragrance-free, paraben-free and preservative-free. But there is a very very faint medicinal smell which goes unnoticed most of the times; but if sniffed carefully, one can smell it mildly. I am alright with it and I also think that it won’t bother ladies with sensitive sense. The consistency is to die for; mere vision of this cream gives my skin immediate relief. The consistency is balm-y cream – light and smooth. I can say it has a “satin rich balm” type consistency.
Results:
As I already mentioned, my skin has been not behaving well for quite few days. LPR has range of products for almost all skin types and I was suggested this particular moisturiser for my dry-combination intolerant skin. Post wash with toleriane face wash, I dab 2-3 drops of Clarins Lotus Facial Treatment Oil on my damp skin and after few minutes, I use just a pepper sized amount of this cream and smoothly spread it over my face; it takes a little more for my neck. The cream immediately soothes and calms my irritated, dry skin.
I have seen my sensitive skin recovering from the dryness and also the recurring pimples have vanished away. Together the entire range has worked wonders for my skin. My skin now appears clear and radiant with all the breakouts and imperfections at bay. The moisturiser is ideal for dry sensitive skin types which need immediate soothing and hydrating softness. It didn’t break me out, in fact it cleared the pimple problem. My skin stays hydrated and plump till my next face washing regime. My skin simply loves this cream – it is rich, smooth, soothing and nourishing. There is subtle glow on my face all because of LA ROCHE POSAY. I highly recommend this brand and dry skinned beauties with sensitive skin should surely add this product in their regimen.

Whoa! I have never come across a bad review about La Roche Posay. I have also been travelling a lot, and even when I travel for just a weekend, I return with breakouts these days. 🙁 I would like to try this one now, seems like good value for money.
