My Experience with LA Splash Illuminating Highlighting Eyeshadow – Champagne:
LASplash is a brand I had come across only recently. I have now tried a few of their eye shadows and eye liners, and I find that I really like their products. In general, the pigmentation is good and they are long lasting. Let me tell you more about this particular eye shadow in the shade “Champagne.”
The eye shadow comes in a small round compact with a screw-on lid which closes securely making it travel-friendly. The lid has a transparent top which makes it easy to see the color in the pan without having to open it. The eye shadow is embossed with a really pretty floral pattern.
The “Champagne” shade is a gorgeous shimmery light gold shade. You can choose to use it all over your lid, along with a darker crease shade, or you can also layer it with another color on top of this. For e.g. if you use it on top of a pink eye shadow, you would get a beautiful rose gold shade! Of course, you can do it any shade you can think of.
The color payoff of this eye shadow is really good. One swipe gives you a nice gold eye look.
The texture of this eye shadow is very soft. It is quite easy to blend, as it claims to be. As with any eye shadow, make sure you tap the excess of your brush before you apply the color on the eyelid.
This eye shadow has a shimmer finish, but no glitter. It claims to be made of highly reflective pigments and to have an eye brightening effect, which I totally agree with. You can use this shade in the inner corner of the eyes for brightening your eye look or even all over the lid for a nice festive eye look.
The longevity is really good. Even without a primer, these lasted on my oily lids for over 8 hours. They do not crease or fade or smudge.
