Today’s review is about Labello Blackberry Shine Lip Balm. I came across this new lip balm from Labello and was super excited to try as it had blackberries in it and I am a big fan of berries. I also love the berry stains on the lips as it looks very natural and attractive.

My Experience with Labello Blackberry Shine Lip Balm:
The packaging is like many other lip care products. It comes in a twist tube. The tube works fine and there is no product leakage when moved up and down. The cap of the tube fits perfectly and also clicks when closed. The product along with the packaging is pretty handy and can fit easily into handbags or clutches, or even jeans pocket. The product is travel-safe. The consistency of the product is creamy and glides smoothly over the lips. The product spreads evenly over the lips and doesn’t feel sticky or oily. It also does not bleed. The color is very attractive. It’s plum in color. The color of the lip care is exactly the color of the packaging. I love this color, especially during autumn.
The fragrance is a little fruity but hardly noticeable. The fragrance does not last more than few minutes, which I prefer, since I tend to lick my lips if they smell great. So, this way the lip balm stays on the lips. As you can see from the swatch, the color is quite intense for a lip balm. I applied 2 layers of it for the swatch and was already able to see the stained lips. The color on the lips does not look as intense as the product itself, but it can easily pass off for a lip gloss. It has absolutely no shimmer in it. I prefer lip balms or lip glosses without shimmer. It does not feel very glossy, sticky or greasy on the lips.
I do not use lip gloss as I feel it’s very glossy and stands out. But this can be a good gloss for me. I love the light plum colored lips which it creates. I can use it for everyday makeup and skip my lipstick. I am totally in love with the color. It was a good buy and definitely a keeper. I keep this lip balm in my bag and use it as and when my lips feel dry. Since the product stains the lips, I prefer to use it outdoors. The product has an average staying power, like 2 to 3 hours. It does get transferred to cups and I have to wipe it off after eating a meal. But I don’t mind reapplying it. The advantage is that you don’t need a mirror to apply it like a lipstick. You can just apply it on the go.
