Hello everyone!
Today’s review is about Labello Red Lip Butter. I think lip butters and other lip care products are the most used products in my vanity. I recently ran out of my lip balm and went shopping for a new one. I’m always looking out for new products hence found this beauty. My lips are always decked up with a lip butter or lipstick. I use lip butters mostly when I am at home (evenings, overnight, and early morning before applying makeup). So, let’s begin the review!

My Experience with Labello Red Lip Butter:

This lip care has beautiful red currants printed on the packaging. These red currants are known as Johannisbeeren here in Germany. This fruit is a little sour and I love to snack on it. In German-speaking areas, syrup or nectar derived from the red currants is added to soda water and enjoyed as a refreshing drink named Johannisbeer Schorle. It is so named because the red currants (Johannisbeeren, “John’s berry” in German) are said to ripen first on St. John’s Day, also known as Midsummer Day, June 24. (Source: Wiki). Back to the review, the packaging is very cute. It comes in a flat round metal container. The color of the overall packaging is light pink and feels very feminine. I love the picture of red currants on it. The lid is a little difficult to open since the whole product packaging is so flat and small. Now I have got used to it. I use the old container to carry small amounts of creams while travelling. The packaging is very sturdy and reusable. The packaging essentially makes the whole lip butter unhygienic since you have to dig in with your finger tip and I do not like it, especially when I am outside.

The lip butter is red in color. It’s very sheer and leaves a slight stain on the lips. It doesn’t leave a milky finish on the lips. The product has a very mild smell. It’s hardly noticeable. This is good as I am not tempted to lick my lips. The lip butter is nowhere glossy or shimmery, and hence is it perfect for overnight usage. The lip butter is very nourishing and keeps the lips well moisturized throughout the night. I have dry lips and they need constant moisturization. But, with this, it’s sufficient if I use it overnight. For the next complete day my lips remain smooth and soft. I can use any kind of lipstick and my lips still look great.The product also doesn’t feel heavy or sticky when used.
