  1. Sadhna, you should consult a dermatologist and get it done under his/her guidance only since it involves skin peeling etc. I do not think doing it at home is safe.

  2. Hey Sadhna,

I am currently undergoing mix of peels and laser for acne treatment. I must say that, you should get it done by a well trained and known dermatologist only. Dont try them at home. Now, after almost 4-5 sessions of peels, my skin have adapted to it and i dont notice much peeling now. Otherwise i had to apply moisturiser every 1 hour, due to peeling (thanks to office AC!). My doctor applies the acid first and then wipe it off in 5-6 minutes, it burns a little (bearable) after which she applies another liquid..which she calls; refill or something like that. It burns like hell for first 2 seconds and then feels cool. She applies this after completing the comodonal extraction (cleaning of pimples using blackhead cleaner stick). This liquid helps heal the open pores. Between each step she even applies lots of ice water and even give cold compress to heal redness of big pimples 🙁 All in all…do study about it first…the side effects, precautions, expectations out of it and every thing and then go for the choice of peel. Lots of luck. & yeah did i say there are various types of peels. Spot peels for instance is a mix of acids and is used to treat particular areas of your face 🙂 🙂 take care 🙂
