Lakme 01 Ruby Velvet Absolute Argan Oil Lip Color Review

I have reviewed two shades “Drenched Red” and “Smooth Merlot” earlier. All have turned out to be really pretty shades but the texture is something I have used from Lakme before. Have a look at this bright red color that is slightly similar to “Drenched Red
” with the latter being more bright and vivid.

My Experience with Lakme 01 Ruby Velvet Absolute Argan Oil Lip Color:

This comes in a gorgeous metallic packaging but I was hoping it was a metal body. On the contrary, it’s made of plastic.

“Ruby Velvet” is gorgeous, a true red with some orange tone to it. The texture is very smooth and creamy. It has a soft, moist shine to it, which makes the lips look plump and healthy.

Otherwise, the lipstick will remind you of the earlier 9 to 5 lipsticks in a metallic shiny grey body.

The texture has a slight thickness to it, which makes it last better and not bleed out of the lips. I think it is also highly moisturising, I think with the argan oil probably.

This lasts for 3-5 hours on me and fairs well in all areas of pigmentation, texture, opacity, lasting power, moisturising properties and so on.

Pros of Lakme 01 Ruby Velvet Absolute Argan Oil Lip Color:

• Smooth and creamy.
• Does not bleed.
• Lasts fairly well.
• Bright red for all skin tones, particularly warm.
• Has a soft, moist shine to it, which makes lips look plump.

Cons of Lakme 01 Ruby Velvet Absolute Argan Oil Lip Color:

• It should have been more buttery.
• The packaging feels plastic-ky.
• Very expensive.
• Texture is something I have used from Lakme earlier.

Would I Recommend/Repurchase Lakme 01 Ruby Velvet Absolute Argan Oil Lip Color?
Yes, very much. I would recommend this to all red lovers. Such a gorgeous red with orange tones! This will great for dry lips as well
