Okay so another one of these new lippies into my collection 😛 I know I might have bought all but they have come up with seriously so many new shade that it is hard for me to keep pace, can you believe it? Anyway, so coming to the lipstick, the shade is very similar to others they have come out with,might do a collective post on this but as of now, would like to tell you that it is a soft maroon kind of pink with shimmer of pink tint to it.I am completely confused as to why they had to put this shimmer in an otherwise perfectly matte lipstick *headbang*
The lipstick comes out as a very pretty pink in two swipes and the base and the texture is matte but when you put it on, the shimmer makes it look like a glazy lipstick, it does not look matte thi is a real pain for a matte lover like me, I dont enjoy pearly and glaze finish at all, same goes for frosts.I would not call it frost but yes it is a cross between glaze and matte.
The shimmer is visible when you take a closer look but it does twinkle under light,when it fades you can still find the shimmer. If you apply two coats it would start feeling dry and heavy a little, and it would survive a meal and last for say 4 hours and even more if you dont eat.
The lipstick is creamy and pigmented and it would cover pigmented lips, however it is not very dry but dry lips could try to use some gloss or something with it.It kind of dries on application but it is not smudge proof, it definitely does not seem moisturizing to me, and it might appear dry too when you look at the lips say after an hour or so.
Overall you can try it if you are okay with some shimmer and some dryness and like Lakme, otherwise skip it,they might have better shades for you.
