Lakme has recently launched its Naturale range which is enriched with goodness of aloe vera. It has a day cream, night cream and aloe aqua gel in this range. I read the claims of their day cream and found it to be very beneficial to tide over the harmful effects of pollution. Today’s review will be on Lakme 9 to 5 Naturale Day Creme. Read on to know my views on it.

Step 1:
Apply Lakme 9 to 5 Naturale aloe aqua gel as a primer on your face. To get a smooth and even surface, apply it on your forehead, cheeks and chin.
Step 2:
Now, follow up with the Lakme 9 To 5 Naturale Day Crème. Massage it well into your face and neck to keep your skin protected and hydrated throughout the day.

My Experience with Lakme 9 to 5 Naturale Day Creme:

First things first, this cream comes packed in a dual-toned green and rose gold coloured outer cardboard box. The cardboard cover has a glossy finish to it. The actual product comes in a light green semi-transparent jar. The theme of the packaging is green and it looks quite attractive. It gets shut with a rose gold screw cap. I absolutely love the packaging. All the necessary details like ingredients, usage directions, etc., are mentioned on the box. It is lightweight and also travel-friendly. But this type of packaging is not hygienic to use since you have to dip your fingers every time you use the product. A tube like packaging would have been more convenient.

The cream is white in colour. It has a medium-thick consistency which is neither too thick nor too runny and is very easy to spread. The cream has a refreshing fragrance and I love the smell. The cream gets absorbed into the skin easily. Only a very small quantity is needed to cover my face and neck. It doesn’t sting my skin or cause any discomfort. This is suitable for all skin types. I love the chief ingredient of this day cream which is aloe vera. It is a very useful plant for skin problems and helps to soothe irritated skin and also provides protection from sun damage.

I have used this cream for more than a week and so far the experience has been good. I have combination skin type during summers which is prone to sweating. As you know, Kolkata has a very humid weather during summers; I was looking for something that would not make my face feel sticky or greasy. This cream once blended has a non-sticky texture and does not leave any layer behind. But yes, it does leave a white cast on your face if you take it in excess. But, this thing doesn’t make your face look very odd. Initially, it might feel a little bit greasy, but once it settles well, you will have a fresh dewy finish. The effect is not matte type, so it won’t dry out your skin. This cream is just perfect to hydrate my combination and sometimes dry type skin during summers and also adds a healthy glow to the face. I love the dewy finish that it imparts.

It also contains SPF which is good for sun protection. But, it would have been better if the SPF degree could have been more instead of just 20. If you stay out in the sun for a prolonged period of time, you would need more protection.

This cream doesn’t make my face look oily. But, it can make oily skin look shiny. In that case, just dab some loose powder for sebum control. I love this product because, it keeps my face fresh-looking for quite long and gives a healthy glow to the skin. It has also not caused any breakouts and suited me perfectly. It lets my skin breathe and doesn’t clog pores. But, it would not cause any skin brightening instantly. This cream is perfect for city girls who have to battle against the ill-effects of pollution.

The best way to use this cream is to use the aloe vera gel from this range at first. It acts as a primer and sets your face for cream application. After this, I use a pea-sized amount of this cream and massage it thoroughly in circular motion. When I applied it after the aloe gel also by Lakme, it really felt amazing. Once the cream settles, you can use some loose powder or pressed powder to make it matte and shine-free. For oily skinned beauties, it would make your skin oilier, so you definitely have to use some loose powder. I also love to use this cream as a primer before application of basic makeup. In a nutshell, I feel that this cream is a decent one for summers, but for winters it would be far better to use because, it gives a good dose of nourishment.

This cream stays put on my face for about 5-6 hours after which I have to reapply it again. It works great for me during daytime and controls shine. But overall, I would say that its performance is nothing exceptionally outstanding, but it is perfect for everyday use. It makes your skin soft, smooth and hydrated. It costs just 300 bucks for 50 gm, so economically this cream also favours my pockets. I need it in very quantity, so it will last really long. I am happy with the purchase and I would surely recommend it.
