Lakmé has recently launched a new range of products – “Lakme 9 to 5 Naturale.” There is a primer, a finishing powder and a few lipsticks in this range. I have picked up the loose powder. So, here comes the review on Lakme 9 to 5 Naturale Finishing Powder. Read on to know how it fared for me?

My Experience with Lakme 9 to 5 Naturale Finishing Powder:

The packaging of the product is beautiful and different from usual Lakme packaging. The loose powder comes in a cardboard box, which bears some necessary information about the product. Inside this box, there is a round plastic tub with a beautiful metallic finish screw on cap, which has nice ombre effect in it. The metallic green and rose gold ombre effect looks really very cute and innovative. I personally love how it looks.

The brand’s tagline is printed on top of the lid in simple fonts. The base of the tub has a label indicating a few product-related details like description, ingredients, etc. There is a plastic sieve cover inside that has tiny holes in it. This safety cover prevents product wastage or spilling of the product. The sieve cover helps to pick the desired amount of product easily without creating any mess in the surrounding area. The loose powder comes with a round white colored puff. The quality of the puff is nice. It is soft and feels gentle on the skin. Overall, the packaging is beautiful and travel friendly.

The loose powder comes only in one shade. The packaging says it is a universal shade. The loose powder is very light beige in color. The shade is very natural looking like most of the translucent powder. It goes well with my skin tone and does not cast any whitish cast behind. It is just like another translucent powder; so don’t expect any coverage from it. It works only for setting makeup. It does not have any fragrance in it.

The texture of this powder is so soft and smooth. The powder is finely milled. The loose powder does not fly when I open the lid as this happens with most of the loose powders. It blends beautifully into the skin and make it look so natural and gives soft matte finish to the skin. Apart from the matte finish, it gives some glow to the skin. It does not feel heavy or chalky on the skin. It does not feel dry on my skin. I use this loose powder for setting my makeup.

This prevents my makeup from creasing and keeps my skin oil free and matte for long, but it should be blended properly as I had observed a little pearly sheen in it, which settles down upon blending. You may notice the same in the swatch below, but this settles completely. It brightens up my face instantly and helps to add a nice polished touch to my entire makeup look.

This loose powder is for summers. I prefer applying it with a fluffy powder brush and go all over my face rather than using the sponge attached with the product. It helps to control excess shine in hot and humid weather and keeps my skin matte and fresh. It never clogged my pores at all. The powder helps to keep my T-zone oil free. Also, the product comes with SPF 50, which makes it an amazing choice for summers. The results last for about 5-6 hours, which is pretty decent for me. Overall, this is a good product with a decent price tag.
