My Experience with Lakme 9 to 5 Crease-less Creme Lip Color – Fire Power:
Packaging: The Lakme 9 to 5 creme lipstick comes in their signature style rose gold packaging which looks super attractive and feminine. We all know a woman’s love for rose gold, so it might totally pull the attention. The lipstick is very handy and twists up well too. But, the mechanism did not work well with this one, it was a bit inconvenient. And, I faced a problem with only this one out of the all that I have picked now or earlier, so it was okay. The shade variety is super wide and every woman might find some shades of her liking. Also, the pricing is pretty reasonable according to their offering.
Shade: The shade “Fire power” is a gorgeous bright orange shade. It is a perfect orange just like those orange candies that we love having during summer. It is neither too warm nor too cool. But, it is definitely a “hot to handle” shade. It is a versatile shade which can be totally worn during the day and evening time as well. It will complement fair to medium skin tones beautifully but, it might be a little too warm for the dusky skin tones. It is a nice orange shade to go for.
Texture and Pigmentation: The Texture of the lipstick is matte when you swipe it once, but once you start building up the colour, you get a creamy finish. It settles into a semi-matte finish after a few hours. The pigmentation is really good and the entire colour comes up in the first swipe itself. But, I applied two swipes to make the colour look more intense.
Staying Power: The staying power of this lipstick is pretty good. It stays for somewhere around 4-5 hours which is really great for the price. It transfers to cutlery since it has a super creamy finish. It does not settle into fine lines but, might accentuate the dry patches on the lips. But, exfoliating the lips or using a lip balm before applying this lipstick will give a perfect look. It does survive meals and a little colour gets ripped off every time I eat or sip. But, I am very happy with the staying power. And it comes off easily too.
