Skin Type: Oily and Sensitive
Lakme has recently launched their ‘9 to 5 Naturale Aloe’ range, which offers various products. Today I am going to review their ‘9 to 5 Naturale Aloe Aqua Gel’. Now, let’s get into the review.
Price: INR 200 for 50 ml
My Experience with Lakme 9 to 5 Naturale Aloe Aqua Gel:
Lakme 9 to 5 Naturale Aloe Aqua Gel comes in a lovely green outer box and I am so impressed by the packaging. The actual product comes in a semi-transparent light green matte jar with a rose gold cap. It’s a lightweight jar that is easy to carry around. Everything is very pretty; the jar isn’t really hygienic though.
This gel smells pretty fresh but the scent is a bit strong for a natural aloe vera gel. It’s is definitely an artificial fragrance but it doesn’t last on the skin. Now, coming to its texture and quality. This gel itself is a clear gel and has a super smooth, water-based texture. It glides well on the skin. It feels extremely light on the skin and does not feel sticky at all.
It’s a non-greasy and non-oily quick absorbing formula that provides instant freshness to the skin. It provides a nice soothing effect and makes the skin feel so relaxed during this hot summer. I have oily skin and I love gel-based products. The product claims to keep your skin protected from pollution. As we all know, aloe vera creates a barrier on the skin and helps to keep the natural glow of the skin intact. It also helps to keep the skin moisturized.
I haven’t noticed any protection from the pollution but this gel definitely revives tired and dull skin. My skin tends to look dull after a hot day out and this gel soothes my skin perfectly. It also freshens my skin up and adds brightness too. Regular use of this gel cream repairs the skin too. It calms down any burning sensation and is great for sensitive skin. Like all other aloe vera gels, it removes dryness instantly and leaves the skin soft and smooth.
It heals the dry texture of the skin and provides the desired amount of hydration to the skin. My skin appears soft and supple without any oiliness. It can’t control oil for long but it doesn’t make skin oilier either. It gives a nice velvety-matte finish to the skin. It acts as a nice makeup base too. I prefer to use lightweight and oil-free base during summers and skip heavy creams. Thus, this gel is ideal for me. It makes my makeup glide on smoothly and keeps it fresh too.
Overall, the hydration provided by this gel on my oily skin lasts long and I think it will work for all skin types. But, it’s best suited for summers. It might not work in winters as it cannot fight extreme dryness. This lightweight gel is perfect for everyday use in summers. The price is a bit higher than other aloe vera products, especially considering the quantity you get.
