Lakme has recently launched a new CC cream in their 9 to 5 Naturale range and I almost have everything from this range. This range is quite impressive and I quite like few products so I picked this CC cream too. Now, read on to know more about it.
Price: INR 350 for 30 ml
Your instant stylist, this CC cream corrects dull, dry and irritated skin so that you can flash your face with confidence.
Aloe-infused Lakmé 9to5 Naturale CC Cream evens out blemishes and shields skin from the harmful effects of pollution. It is offered in two universal shades—honey and bronze—that blend seamlessly with Indian skin tones.
How to Use:
Step 1: Choose the variant that goes well with your complexion. Step 2: Squeeze a small amount of cc cream and dot it on your face with your fingertips. Step 3: Pat the cream to spread it around and blend to perfection.
My Experience with Lakme 9 to 5 Naturale CC Cream:
Like the entire range, this CC cream comes in a pretty-looking green tube along with a green ombre box with all the information printed over it. It is a very simple and basic packaging but is totally easy to carry around. Now, this range offers just two shades, which is quite limited. I have medium tanned complexion and the shade ‘Bronze’ is a nice match for my skin tone. I don’t think there are many dark shades in this range. But due to its low pigmentation, the shade looks quite nice on me.
As a CC cream, it provides light, natural-looking coverage to the skin and provides a fresh finish. It can even out the complexion and make skin appear brighter. Also, it can tone down the redness but can’t hide dark spots or dark circles. On me, it looks pretty nice, but if you need good coverage, then it’s not that satisfying. Hence, it’s perfect for daily use. I also love to use it as an everyday wear cream as it gives a natural finish to the skin.
This CC cream has a super soft medium texture which glides effortlessly on the skin. I’ve used both, the sponge and the brush, to apply this cream. It blends well with both the tools and provides a smooth, flawless base. But, as usual, it provides lesser coverage with the sponge than the brush. The product feels very comfortable and lightweight on the skin. It instantly provides a smooth, soft and fresh skin. It has a beautiful, dewy finish that never feels dry on the skin and provides a good amount of hydration.
People with dry skin would love to try it. Since it contains aloe vera it keeps the skin moisturized for long. But, on my super oily skin, it looks messy. My skin becomes oily within an hour and I always need to use a compact powder over it. Even with a setting powder, this cream can’t control oil. I don’t think it’s a great choice for oily skin, especially during summer. Actually, if you spend your time in a room or under AC, then it’s a cool product, but when you are sweating, it makes skin oily and moves from its place.
Otherwise, it suits my sensitive skin well and doesn’t break me out. It has a fresh smell to it as well. It gives a beautiful smooth finish, and if you love that dewy texture, then it’s a nice one for you. Also, it never makes skin cakey or doesn’t leave any white cast behind. I prefer to use an oil-control primer and a setting powder with this CC cream to make it last long on the skin; this way it survives well. This product also doesn’t crease or settle into the fine lines, but by the end of the day, my T-zone looks oily.
As an added benefit, this cream has SPF 30+, which is good enough to keep the skin protected from the sun. Overall, as a CC cream, I like its texture and finish but wish it could control oil too. I might use it during winters but I would prefer a matte finish in summers.
