My Experience with Lakme 9 to 5 Naturale Matte Sticks Lipstick R1 Crimson Town:

Packaging:
This entire 9 to 5 Naturale range comes with a beautiful packaging. This lipstick comes in a pretty, shiny green rose and pink ombre crayon type packaging; I have to twist it up and down to get the bullet out. It’s a pretty, simple, lightweight, and attractive tube. It also comes with a nice black outer box with details on, but they all look the same, so it’s quite difficult to identify the shade. Also, the name is not properly highlighted on the tube. It’s too small to understand. Otherwise, it’s a beautiful packaging.

Shade and Pigmentation:
The shade ‘R1 Crimson Town’ is a gorgeous true red with a warm undertone. It has a hint of pink tone that makes it a more subtle red for all. It looks so bright on the face and is a great red for all skin tones. I love such party perfect reds that enhance my medium skin tone well. The shade has finely milled shimmers and they do not look overpowering at all. The shade is well pigmented and requires only a few strokes to achieve an opaque color; it also covers lip pigmentation well.

Texture and Quality:
This “Naturale” range actually is a metallic lipstick range that carries a natural finish. This lipstick has a soft and smooth texture that glides well without any tugging. The formula feels so comfortable and lightweight as well. The lipstick has a natural metallic tint to the lips. It’s not like other shiny metallic lipsticks, but a very balanced one. It also sets to a perfect matte texture with a subtle glow. The formula is transfer-proof, smudge-proof and waterproof too. I am amazed by the quality as it looks beautiful without any mess.

Since this lipstick has aloe vera, it imparts a decent amount of hydration to the lips, which keeps the lips soft. But if you have extremely chapped lips, you’ll need a lip balm underneath. As the time passes, it makes my lips a bit dry. But, it never feels patchy and never highlights dry patches. The bullets are not strong enough in this range and they might break easily. In fact, one of my lipsticks is already broken.

Staying Power:
Coming to its longevity, the lipstick lasts long, around 7-8 hours. Also, it can survive meals well. But after having oily food, my inner lip line looks a bit faded. That’s not an issue as reapplication is easy. Otherwise, it is a long-wearing shade. It never settles into the fine lines; even as a matte lipstick, it behaves so well. This shade can be easily removed with a wipe and it won’t leave any stain behind. The shimmer particles never stick to the lips either.

Overall:
I am obsessed with this range and the subtle metallic matte finish it imparts. I love this red as well. I am not a fan of shimmery lipsticks, but it gives the perfectly balanced look and has made me fall in love with it. My only issue is that the quantity provided is very less.
