Hi Everyone, 🙂
You asked and we listened. Here’s a full range of Lakme Absolute lipsticks from their Argan Oil range. I have used Lakme lipsticks after ages and honestly, I am so mighty impressed with them. Lakme has come a long way be in terms of packaging, colors and textures. Makes me proud for an Indian brand to do so amazingly well. 🙂
I would link the lipsticks to their original reviews in case you want to see a detailed reviews and swatches. I would also include the lip colors in my upcoming makeup looks. And a lot more coming up. As they say ‘ abhi toh party shuru hui hai.” 😉 I hope you enjoy checking out the swatches and find them useful. 🙂
Price : INR 750
Colors + Review links :
Ruby Velvet, Crimson Silk, Peaches n cream, soft mauve, dewy orange, smooth merlot, buttery caramel, drenched red, soaked berries, pink satin, silky blush, deep brown, juicy plum, lush rose, soft n*de
My Skin tone : fair medium with olive undertones. I have slightly pigmented lips and if I use very sheer lipsticks, the color of my lips clashes with the color of the lipstick. So i personally prefer lipsticks that are very pigmented and have a full color pay off.
Colors according to skin tones :
Light Skin Tones : Crimson Silk, peaches n cream, pink satin, silky blush, lush rose, soft nu*e
Medium Skin Tones : ruby velvet, crimson silk, soft mauve, dewy orange, smooth merlot, drenched red, pink satin, juicy plum
Dusky Skin Tones : ruby velvet, soaked berries, deep brown , juicy plum
PS : There is no hard and fast rule for what colors would exactly work for your skin tone, it’s just for a rough reference. Makeup is all about fun and expressing yourself. So wear what you like. 🙂
My personal favourites : smooth merlot, crimson silk, soaked berries, drenched red, soaked berried
Going by the first impressions, I did not like the texture and feel of peaches n cream, dew orange and soft n*de. They did not apply very evenly and were not as pigmented as the others. Also, the packaging does look all luxe in gold, it feels a bit flimsy.
