My Experience with Lakme Absolute Argan Oil Serum Foundation:

Lakme Absolute Argan Oil Serum Foundation Review Box

First, let’s take a moment for this gorgeous packaging. I love its luxurious style. So, Lakme Absolute Argan Oil Serum Foundation comes in a black outer box with some information and the actual product is contained in a small golden bottle with a black dropper which makes it easy to use; it helps to take the perfect amount of product. As it is a plastic bottle, so it feels light but the quality is good enough. Only the ingredients list wasn’t mentioned on the packaging which I think should have been.

This range comes with 6 shades and I picked up the shade 04 Natural Light. Now, I have medium tanned skin tone and this shade perfectly matches with me. Actually, both the shades Honey Dewy and Natural Light are good for medium skin tone but honey dew has a more yellow tone in it, so I went for Natural Light. As I have a natural undertone, so it works best for me. I do feel they could include some deeper shades as well. Six shades are definitely not enough for a country like India.

Coming to the coverage, yes the shade provides good buildable coverage. I don’t have major dark spots issue except for a few current pimple spots and have a little dark circles issue. So with a single layer, it can hide those minimal imperfections and even out the skin tone well. But, the second layer can hide light spots, light dark circles and provides a good medium coverage to the skin which is enough for daily uses. It can cover pigmentation around the mouth. But, it is not a full coverage foundation for very dark spots and all. If you need that perfect coverage, you have to conceal your skin well. This foundation has a nice smell that I personally like but some might not like this strong smell.

This is a serum based liquid foundation. Hence, it has a nice soft smooth medium to thin consistency which glides so well on the skin. It is slightly runny but not like watery runny. So, it’s quite easy to work with. It blends well with any blending tools like sponge, brush and even with fingers, but don’t apply lots of foundation at once. It is better to apply it in layers. But, to get the perfect result, it requires a little extra amount than the other liquid foundations. It doesn’t feel heavy on skin, still you can feel something on the skin. Also, I did notice that it slightly accentuates my pores, so it won’t look good if you have large open pores. You must have to use a pore filling primer underneath it, otherwise, it clings to them and highlights them as well.

Now, as an oil based foundation, it provides a smooth dewy look that it is perfect for a healthy glowing finish. It leaves the skin soft, and the glow looks really nice. Also, it instantly provides good nourishment to the skin which is best for dry skin. As I have super oily skin, I have to set my base with a compact powder, otherwise, it makes my skin super oily. Even with compact powder, my T-zone gets oily after a few hours. So, I think it will work best for me during winter. During this hot humid weather, it makes me a little sweaty as well. But, it is not like the other dewy foundations which look super oily on the skin. It stays perfectly for around 5 hours and then it starts to move from my oily T-zone. I have to bolt and set my makeup after a few hours. Also, it does transfer, like if you rub the face, then it moves from that area.

Lakme Absolute Argan Oil Serum Foundation Review Dropper

It is good for normal to dry skin which provides a beautiful natural glow to the skin. It has SPF 45 that is enough to protect skin from the sun. When you are using an oil based foundation, it might be a little heavy to use a sunscreen underneath it, so it is definitely a plus point of this product. But, this high SPF leaves a white cast in flashlight pictures.

Overall, I have mixed opinion about it. I like the foundation and its natural dewy look. But, during these hot days, it is not best for me. Also, this is a little expensive for 15ml where the other foundations are available with 30ml. Here in this first picture, I haven’t use any concealer and you can see it provides a natural coverage with a smooth finish and the second picture is a full face makeup look where the dewy glow looks so nice.
