Lakme Absolute Baked Blush: Night Sheen

If you remember my post on the other two Lakme blushes, “Day sheer” and “Day blushes“, you would know I said I will review the night blush too, in “Night Sheen” too. Nupur has reviewed the shade in “night sparkles“. So all the four shades are here for you to choose from.

The packaging has been adopted from other brand in my humble opinion. Chambor has baked blushes or the like with a similar packaging. Somehow, I find the packaging very drab and I know they look very tempting in the  round baked blush feel, but still it doesn’t thrill me. There is no brush or mirror which is perfectly fine with me. Brushes are a hassle anyway.

The texture of the blush is just right, just perfect. Since its a blush, we don’t want them to be too soft or else we might pick up a lot of color and end up looking like a clown. But on the other hand, we don’t want it to be hard that we keep swirling the brush on it(has happened with my Bourjois blush, believe it or not).All the blushes are very soft and feel just right.

The collection has four blushes, two meant for day wear and another two for the night.I quite like how they eased it out for us and I would say the day shades are actually great for day.But also, the shade in “Night sheen” I would say is great for the day too. This shade is a great soft peach-pink, has very mild shimmer to it. I absolutely love this shade because it shows up very lightly and very natural on me. The shimmer is also not bothersome. I love this for day wear too.

So, for me, I love the shade “Day blushes”, “Night Sheen”, “Day sheer” are what I like in this order essentially.I would say these blushes are really top quality, feel soft, blend well and have nice shades to offer. The staying power is decent and they do melt on me if I don’t have good foundation on. Basically they stay fresh for four hours at least.Go light and easy with them as they are quite pigmented.The names again are unique but confusing but they make life easy for us.

The blushes are priced at Rs.550 and I think for what they are, they are fine,there is no chalkiness, no hardness, no fall out that goes out of control. The shade are great as well but they could have come up with a plummy-pink shade as well instead of hovering in the peach category for most of them and then the shimmer could have been more limited.

Last word:

Try one for sure. This shade is a great, soft, pinkish-peach and great for Indian skin tone and day wear as well. These are really good blushes. 🙂
