My Experience with Lakme Absolute Bronze Flake Illuminating Lip Shimmer:

This lipstick comes in a simple glossy black cardboard packaging. The outer carton carries all the necessary details about this product, but the ingredients list is missing. The lipstick tube and its cap is translucent charcoal gray, it’s not color coded, and the shade name is mentioned at the bottom of the lipstick. The cap of this lipstick tube shuts with an audible click and comes with a regular twist-up mechanism with a locking system. It prevents the lipstick bullet from getting damaged.

“Bronze Flake” is a metallic bronze shade with loads of shimmer. Though the shimmer particle are not chunky, they are prominently visible on the lips. The shimmers give a metallic sheen to this lipstick and also give an illuminating effect. This shade does not look good on me, makes me look mature, but it looks very pretty on my mom. So, I am guessing metallic brown shades from this range will suit mature ladies better than youngsters. It will suit almost all Indian skin tones well. This shade is apt for festive season, but it is definitely not an everyday shade. The lipstick has a mild fragrance which might bother some people.

The pigmentation of the lipstick is decent. It adds a nice color in just one swipe, but it still takes about two-three swipes to build up the color and get a proper finish. This lipstick manages to hide pigmented lips really well. This is not a high-shine product and sets to a nice velvety finish without staining the lips.
Packaging

The texture of this lipstick is smooth and almost creamy. It glides effortlessly on the lips without any tug or pull. It smudges a little with meals. The formula of the lipstick is slightly moisturizing and keeps my lips nourished, but it may not work well on dry lips as it clings to the dry patches of the lips and accentuates them, so prepping the lips is a must with this lipstick.

It also settles into the fines lines of the lips. Being creamy in texture, the lipstick does transfer very easily. The formula is lightweight and feels comfortable on the lips.

The color lasts for approximately 5 hours on my lips with a little fading. The lipstick fades away evenly with meals, but the whole colour does not get ripped off. A hint of color can be seen on my lips even after meals, but the shimmers look very prominent even then. So, instant reapplication is required to get rid of that chunky shimmery finish. Removing the lipstick is easy with a good makeup remover.
