Lakme Absolute Drama Stylist Eyeshadow Crayon

Helllloooooz to all the gorgeous ladies!!!! Just a day to go for the new year…how time flies.. I hope everyone is gearing up for the new year’s eve bash right now.

Now, the product which I am going to review today is one of the latest launches of Lakme; the new Lakme Absolute Drama Stylist Eyeshadow Crayon; in the shade Bronze. Ever since these were launched, I was eyeing these, but always held back due to the price (absolute range has become a luxury, really).

However, after I had placed the order, I did some more research, and came across the reviews of jumbo pencils by  Nyx and Rimmel London, which were almost half the price!! Now, I was worried. What if this one does not meet the expectations, given the price. Nyx one had staying power issues and was not smudge proof as per reviews, and the Rimmel ones had availability issues. I wanted a smudge proof and water proof jumbo pencil with good staying power on my oily lids. Anyway, finally the courier was delivered to me and I had the Lakme Absolute Drama Stylist in my hands :happydance: :happydance: .

My first impressions, were not so good. I mean, come on Lakme, you are charging a whopping price, at least give us a good packaging. This one just comes wrapped in a perforated plastic cover, similar to the packaging of Lakme Absolute Matte lippies.

Lakme Absolute Drama Stylist Eyeshadow Crayon is priced at Rs. 750 for a quantity of 1.6 gm!!! Yes, almost double of its contemporaries. However, I got it at R.s 575 on discounts online. I said to the pencil (yes I actually did that); Dude! You Better be good, you ate up a good part of my pocket money :hihi: It comes in a jumbo pencil form, which is sharp-enable.

My experience with Lakme Absolute Drama Stylist Eyeshadow Crayon – Bronze

I had ordered this in the shade BRONZE. Its a true bronze, like a little of red mixed in golden brown, a perfect perfect bronze. I had to go for a day out with my friends the next day, so I applied this on my lids as eyeshadow, blended with my eye blending brush, and also on my lower lash line as liner. I tightlined my eyes with my colossal, applied mascara and went. When I came back, after a good four to five hours, it was still there, as good as freshly applied. This is really smudge proof, water proof and long lasting. It did not smudge even a bit. It is waterproof. I know this because just for testing purpose I rubbed it with wet hands and even splashed water on my eyes when I came back home; lo and behold! It refused to budge! I was amazed, mesmerised ( God! I am being so poetic :hihi: ) All in all, this voluptuous beauty is a treasure, really. I was completely bewitched by the results.

Coming to the pros and cons:

Pros of Lakme Absolute Drama Stylist Eyeshadow Crayon – Bronze:

  • The shade is lovely.
  • Its creamy and can be applied easily. Does not tug.
  • Easy to blend. (be quick because once set it does not budge)
  • Totally smudge proof
  • Water proof
  • Long Lasting. Will not come off till you remove it with a makeup remover or cleansing milk.

Cons of Lakme Absolute Drama Stylist Eyeshadow Crayon – Bronze:

Has to be sharpened which leads to a lot of product wastage.

(I could not find anything else )

I am completely in love with this eye crayon by Lakme Absolute :happydance: Its creamy, smudge proof, water proof, long lasting and worth every penny. I only wish it came in retractable form. Sharpening is so not my thing.

IMBB Rating : 4.75/5

Recommendation : Yesssss!! Do buy! You will not regret it. I am going to pick the White one soon.

And in the end, a very HAPPPPPYYY NEW YEAR to you guys. Stay beautiful, stay gorgeous.
