Today I am all set to share with you all a new product launched by lakme recently. I went shopping for body lotions and other stuffs, I saw these in the lakme counter, couldn’t resist I picked them up 😀 Lakme absolute drama stylist collection has blush duos and eye shadow duos in the range. The blush and eye shadow colours have different colour palette than the normal Lakme stuff. I picked up an eye shadow duo in pink wink and a blush duo in coral. I loved the idea of duos for blushes and eye shadow, the main reason is, it is so travel friendly you carry two colours in one. Packaging

The eye shadow duo comes in a black cardboard rectangular box which has the product name printed on it. Inside the eye shadow is placed in a black flimsy plastic case, a sponge applicator comes along with the eyeshadow case. Packaging of the eye shadow comes very similar to the lakme absolute bronzer. It is a simple round case, the lid is see-through kind while the bottom part holding the eye shadows in black. The two eye shadow duos are placed side by side. The sponge applicator which comes along with the eyeshadow is not very useful to me as I prefer applying eyeshadows with brushes. I wished they had an inbuilt space in the eyeshadow case itself to store the sponge applicator as it will come helpful for those who prefer the sponge for application of the eyeshadow. Overall the packaging is simple and sturdy.

Colour

The eyeshadow has a pretty duo of pink which leans more towards magenta and a burgundy plum color. Both the eyeshadows have silver shimmer, the shimmer is subtle and delicate. However I really wish if the darker eye shadow was matte, it would have worked amazingly for applying it in the crease or outer corners of the eye.

Texture and pigmentation

The texture of the eyeshadows is perfect of what lakme describes it as, it is super soft and smooth. Both the eyeshadows have subtle silver shimmer. The shimmer is delicate and blends well with the colour. The texture and pigmentation is good. The eyeshadows does not have any fall outs. The eye shadow blends well and you can easily build up the colour. These eyeshadows are baked so one can use them wet and dry.

Staying power

The eyeshadow has average staying time, it stays on me for about 3 and half hours. A primer underneath you can extend the wear time of the eyeshadow.

• I really wish the darker shade was matte.
• You cannot store the sponge applicator with the eye shadow in one case.

I might pick up the blue and grey duo it looked pretty  . These eyeshadows will leave you satisfied, it would not disappoint you. If you like the colours and looking out for subtle shimmer eyeshadows you can give these a try.
