Lakme Absolute Gel Addict Liner in Grey Ash
Hi everybody!

Gel eye liners have been popular for a very long time now and though I was very intrigued by the idea of them, I never really got to purchasing one for myself primarily because, well, I don’t possess the skill/ expertise needed for a regular eyeliner, let alone a gel eyeliner. LOL. But just this Sunday, I saw the latest Lakme ad in the Sunday magazine and came across these gel eyeliners. They seemed pretty amazing in the shade range etc so I thought why not give it a try? Finally, I bought one for myself yesterday and here is the review! It’s Lakme Absolute Gel Addict liner in the shade Grey Ash. Read on to know more about it.

My views on Lakme absolute Gel addict eye liner in Grey Ash:
Packaging: I must say I was kind of shocked seeing the packaging in the store. I knew before hand that these were not going to have too much of quantity but seeing these and realizing how tiny these actually are, shocked me. Anyhow, I had made up my mind that I’ll definitely purchase one of these so I couldn’t come home empty-handed. These liners come in a very tiny round jar/bottle with a sleek but again tiny brush. The brush can be detached from the jar’s neck. The brush is also super smooth and has fine bristles. It is curved at the edges that helps to create a thin to medium to however thick line you want on the eyelids. The whole packaging, like other Lakme Absolute products, gives a very edgy feel. All in all, these are very compact in terms of packaging and hence, travel friendly.
Texture: Like I already mentioned above, I was shocked by the tiny packaging and such less quantity. And to add to all that, there’s its hefty price tag it comes with. BUT, I wouldn’t have bought it if I absolutely didn’t love its texture from the first moment only. These liners are actually super creamy without being greasy. These have a texture similar to Maybelline color tattoos, only these ones are insanely pigmented too.
Color payoff and Longevity: While purchasing any cosmetics, I make sure to swatch them myself and not trust the swatches done by the SA because, well, for the simple reason that if I’m not satisfied with its application at the store itself, I’ll never be satisfied with it at home, no matter how many different ways I apply it in. so I just took some gel liner on the brush and swiped it once and voila! Such amazing pigmentation and color payoff, these really took me by surprise. All you need is one swipe of the gel eyeliner on your eyelid to get that perfect pigmented color.
The shade Grey Ash is a true Grey color. It’s not overly black nor it is on the lighter side. It is what grey ash looks like, hence the name! I am a huge fan of colored eyeliners but sadly, most colored eyeliners don’t suit my eye color; this Grey Ash pleasantly surprised me! 😀 I applied this gel eyeliner today for almost 6-7 hours and in that time it didn’t budge at all. Moreover, for someone who has oily lids like me, this is a great product because it is waterproof/ sweat-proof. Also, like I mentioned above that these eyeliners are very similar to Maybelline color tattoos, so these can also be used as eye shadow for creating a nice smokey eye look when teamed with black liner. All in all, a must have product!
Pros of Lakme absolute Gel addict eye liner in Grey Ash:
• Super smooth in texture
• Feel very lightweight on the eyelids
• Stay for 6 hours+ (I am saying 6 hours because I applied it for almost this much time and it didn’t budge a bit)
• Very easy to apply; I’d say even easier to apply than normal liquid eyeliners.
• Comes with a sleek brush, which is also very smooth bristled and curved at the edges that ease the application.
• All shades of these gel eyeliners are gorgeous, so something for everyone!
• Waterproof
Cons of Lakme absolute Gel addict eye liner in Grey Ash:
• The price point! INR 800 is way too expensive for an eye liner.
• The quantity is too less.
• May dry up if left open in the air for long.
Will I repurchase it/ do I recommend Lakme Gel Addict?
I’ll definitely try more shades from this range and I recommend these liners to everyone.
IMBB rating: 4/5
Conclusion: Lakme Absolute Gel addict eye liners are a total must have product. These are insanely good in texture, pigmentation and color payoff.
