I am here with a nail paint review today. It is a gorgeous n*de colour. I had never bought a high-priced nail paint before this, but my hands were itching to spend big bucks on nail paint. The description and huge bottle of Gel Stylist nail paint on the TV and print ads made me scratch the itch and buy this one ( and also the online discount on this to be honest 😀 ). I was eager to try out this nail paint to see if actually gives the claimed “Salon-Style” gel look. I chose this shade because I was on the lookout for a n*de shade and this seemed perfect.
Other shades in the range:
- Nude Glow
- Tomato Tango
- Scarlet Red
- Pink Champagne
- Pink Burst
- Electric Orange
- Coral Rush
Read on to know more about Lakme Absolute Gel Stylist- Caramel Melt.
About The Product: Super shiny and plumpy nails in one stroke. It delivers rich colour for high coverage for gel nails with a professional finish.
Price: Rs. 400 for 15 ml.
Ingredients: Not mentioned.
Packaging: Oooo..the huge and handy bottle does scream “classy”. The packaging is in a fat glass bottle with a black tapering cap.
Applicator: The brush applicator is on the larger side and is convenient to use. It covers the whole nail in two side strokes.
My Experience with Lakme Absolute Gel Stylist- Caramel Melt:
Colour: A beautiful n*de shade that will suit Indian skin tones very well. If you are searching for a n*de nail paint to add to your kitty, your search might end here.
Texture: Neither too thick nor too runny, the nail paint spreads evenly without any clotting. It takes quite a long time to dry, though that may be due to the ‘gel’ element. The brush/applicator is apt for use and picks up the product in sufficient quantity and distributed it easily onto the nails.
Pigmentation: The nail paint is nicely pigmented. A single coat gives opaque coverage to the nails but appears dull. A second coat adds the sheen that the gel nail paint claims. Just after application, the gel manicure claim clearly comes through. You feel as if you have just returned from a high-end parlour after a nice manicure. It is easy to remove.
Lasting Power: The shine lasts for about 3-4 days. The nail paint starts chipping from the ends after 5-6 days and starts fading after 7-8 days. The nail paint on the whole (neglecting the dullness and chipping) lasts for about 15-18 days.

Would I Repurchase/ Recommend Lakme Absolute Gel Stylist – Caramel Melt?
Yes, I would buy other shades simply because of the fact that some of the colours of the range are beautiful and not because of the promised gel formula.
Gel Nail paints are supposed to last longer than normal ones and sport a high sheen, but this one fared average in both accounts. So, I would recommend you to purchase them only if you really like some colours in the range.
