I don’t have many Lakme lipsticks in my collection, generally, Indian girls have so many Lakme lipsticks but, I don’t like their smell. Recently, I found this Lakme Absolute Lip Pout Matte with a new shade called ‘Hot Cinnamon’ and I love this product. Let’s get into the review.

My Experience with Lakme Absolute Lip Pout Matte – Hot Cinnamon:

Packaging: Like all other Lakme Absolute lip pout lipsticks, it comes in a chubby crayon shape design with a twist up style. It looks very pretty and its color coded matte finish helps to identify the shades easily. It also comes with a nice black outer box with details on it. Overall, it’s a cute travel-friendly lipstick.

Shade and Pigmentation: Matte lip pouts have so many shade options and I have picked ‘Hot Cinnamon’. Like the shade names, it is a beautiful attractive warm rusty brown shade, just like a fresh cinnamon shade. It looks so gorgeous and attractive on lips. It will suit across a spectrum of Indian skin tones. I always love such rusty brown that looks so natural and it is a perfect daily wear shade. Also, this shade is really pigmented and hides dark, pigmented lips too.

Texture and Quality: These days we love matte finishes and it has that perfect stunning matte finish with an evenly occupied texture. Initially, it feels little dry, but, after using it for few days, the crayon goes smoothly on lips without any tugging and feels so comfortable. It feels light and looks like a perfect non-drying matte lipstick that doesn’t have any shimmers. My lips turn super dry during winter but, it doesn’t cling to my dry patches, yet it is better to exfoliate your lips before using it for that smooth finish. It has a very attractive pout look which just matches with its name.

It has a decent amount of moisture in it that feels soft on lips and with the time passes, it becomes dry. After a meal, I need to apply a lip balm to keep my lips soft. Basically, if you have extremely chapped lips, you must need a lip balm underneath it. It is not a hydrating lipstick but, works well on me. Also, it doesn’t transfer or smudge which I totally love about it. It never settles into fine lines or creases so, as a matte lipstick, it behaves nicely.

Staying Power: This Lip pout lasts long on my lips with a heavy meal for around 6-7 hours and then it looks faded. Also, it can survive lunch with little fading from the centre that is almost nothing. So, I am totally impressed by its quality. This is quite easy to remove from the lips too.

Overall, If you love brown lipsticks then, such rusty brown shade is a must have for you. I really like the formula, finishing and quality that looks so pretty on lips. Most amazingly, it doesn’t carry that horrible Lakme lipstick’s smell in it; hence, it has a pretty smell which I like. In this image, I had nothing on my face and still it looked so bright. It will look gorgeous with full makeup.
