This newly launched range has totally created a buzz everywhere with Kareena Kapoor on the posters! And I am sure every girl will want to try at least one matte or crème one. I got 3 of these in the shades, red pout, orange tease, and coral pink and loved them all! Hence I picked one more called “plum rush” since plum is totally the colour of winter. Let’s check out whether it worked amazingly like its variants or not.

My Experience with Lakme Absolute Lip Tint Crème in Plum Rush:

Recently, I have been experimenting with a lot of lipsticks; but give me even the best lipstick and I will still be crazy behind lip crayons. They are just so me! I love flaunting those poppy and pouty lips that the crayons give me. We have always complained that lip balms do not give enough tints although they rock in the hydration department; hence to solve this dilemma, we have lip crayons. They give moisturisation like a lip balm and colour pay-off like a lipstick. And the new Lakme lip tint crèmes have all of this!
The fatty lip crayon comes in a deep plum-coloured packaging accompanied with a dazzling silver cap. The packaging resembles the shade of the crayon which makes it super easy to spot the one I want because I got a few of these. These are extremely handy and travel-friendly and look very cute in this packaging. However, we just have to be a little careful while closing the cap because the lip colour has the potential to chip. The quantity is really good and I am so happy because this does not have any shimmers in it.

The crayon glides very smoothly on the lips without tugging or pulling due to the creamy consistency. I can see the colour in the first swipe itself but not that intense, hence a couple of swipes give me the exact colour as that on the bullet.
Coming to the shade, I think the name “plum rush” is pretty misleading because I was expecting a juicy plum colour, but this sadly turned out to be a brown with plum hints! I mean this is not the colour of winter that I was expecting. But the shade looks good on me, so I wouldn’t complain much. It doesn’t turn completely plum at any point but this is one of those mature shades the ladies like wearing. So I will pass this to my mom as she is deeply in love with this shade.

The shade can be kept subtle like a lip balm and also be intensified like a lipstick. Initially in one swipe, it did settle out in fine lines but after building up the pigmentation it did not. The colour takes a bit of a time to intensify, so do not rush up and keep swiping it. It gives me glossy lips along with a good pop and hydrates like a lip balm.
The colour stays on my lips for 5-6 hours with little food/snacks, and 4 hours with complete meal. And also this does not go off completely because even if the glossiness and the intense colour go away, it leaves a nice deep plum tint on my lips which still looks good and my lips don’t look bare. It also keeps my lips hydrated during the current weather and somehow when I removed off the stain, I couldn’t see dry patches on my lips, hence I have to say that the hydration is amazing. It does transfer on glasses and tissues due to the bold colour but yet it stays on the lips very well. I think these are great innovations done by Lakme and I think everyone is going to love it. But if you want to pick some of these or just one, then don’t go for this one as there are better shades out there.

• The texture is buttery and glides very well on the lips.
• The shade is a nice neutral brown with hints of plum to it which instantly makes my face glow and look brighter.
• This can be worn to workplaces and the mature ladies will definitely love this.
• The colour is buildable from a tinted one to a bold browny plum.
• It is very versatile because it is suitable during any time of the day and also for all skin-tones.
• It gives my lips a burst of colour along with equal hydration and glossiness and has the potential to heal chapped lips.
• It stays on my lips for 5-6 hours and 4 hours with full meals.
• It leaves a lovely stain on my lips even when the glossy effect goes off.

Cons of Lakme Absolute Lip Tint Crème in Plum Rush:

• It settles in fine lines if you keep it subtle and not bold.
• The younger generation might not like this colour.
• The name is misleading since it is a brown with plum hints to it and not a standard plum colour.

No, not this one because this is not my kinda shade but yes I will surely pick the other ones since I loved the quality and I love crayons, so what more could I ask for? Totally recommended!
