As soon as Lakme Pop Tints hit the market, I wanted to try these. I was going through a very hectic schedule when these came to the market and I got a few of these to cheer myself. Though I was very confused earlier upon buying them because of the high, unjustified price, but I could not control my shopping impulse when I saw these. 😛

My Experience with Lakme Absolute Lip Tint in Plum Rush:

Lakme Absolute Lip tints come in “the flavor of the year” packaging, which is the chubby stick like, cute packaging. The stick is black in color with the shade name written at the bottom. It has a transparent cap, so we can recognize the shade through the cap. The packaging isn’t bright and cheerful like the Revlon Kissable Balm stains or Clinique chubby lip balms. The bullet is comparable to the Revlon one, so the quantity offered isn’t less.

Plum Rush doesn’t have any hint of plum to it. It is a glossy red color with very fine silver shimmer. The shimmer is hardly visible on the lips. This color will suit all skin tones very well. It is a good pick if you are a fan of reds with a very slight hint of plum. Plum Rush is good for routine wear as well as for parties. It brightens my face instantly because of the red in it.

Plum Rush is very nicely pigmented, something I didn’t expect at all. A single swipe covers the pigmentation of my lips completely. It is extremely moisturizing.  There is no need to apply a lip balm beneath it. Sometimes, I think I should avoid using these now and stock it up for winters.

The glossy and wet look stays for about two hours. The bright red color stays for about two hours and the tint stays on my lips for another two hours. It glides on my lips very softly and smoothly. It doesn’t settle in lines at all and doesn’t smudge or bleed.

Will I Repurchase/Do I Recommend Lakme Absolute Lip Tint in Plum Rush?

Yes, I know it burnt a hole through my pocket and I could have added a few hundred bucks more and got myself a MAC lipstick instead of this, but still I am not regretting buying it. I wasn’t shopping much since this year started and now, it had become necessary to calm the devil inside me who craves for makeup. So, I got myself these beauties from Lakme.
