When I swatched the firstAbsolute Luxe Matte Lip Color with Argan Oil lipstick ‘Peachy Carnation’, it applied all weird and the shade was not the most impressive too. I was like- well! another lukewarm range from Lakme. Sigh! Let’s do the swatches and get over with it. But as I swatched more and more esp the brighter colors, the texture, how they felt on the lips, I was no….this is INSANE. Infact, I was so insanely in love with them by the end of my swatch marathon that I ended up doing a makeup look around the lipstick, wearing it out, asking my friend if my lipstick was still on after some 4 hours wear, a cup of coffee and a canned beans toast (the lipstick was intact). Plus, no drying. If there is one Lakme lipstick range, I would highly recommend you, this is the one. PS: I bought these lipsticks myself to swatch on IMBB. 🙂
The new lipsticks they drag a bit on the lips but they apply alright after a few swipes.
Have a have a slightly drying texture but are not uncomfortable. They are honestly very comfortable on lips.
They apply thinly. They almost feel like a part of lips.
These are medium to full pigmented lipsticks.
Finish is matte.
I wore the shade Smooth Marsala for some 6 hours yesterday- I went out, had coffee, ate a few toasts, came back and had dinner, the lipstick was there and in a pretty good way. It was really impressive.
I definitley like this one more than the prev Lakme Argan Oil Range.
The packaging is a quite flimsy. The black plastic holder feels quite cheap. It looks luxe with all gold on the outside but it’s so hard to store. Even if you have 2-3 lipsticks from the range, you would have to open each lipstick figure out which color to use.
Absolutely great bang on shades for Indian Skin tones. I was swatching the colors and I was like wow! they really got it so right. It was hard to pick the favs because so many of them went well with my olive skin tone.
I think the price could have been a bit less.
