Lakme Absolute Matte Lipcolor Orange Burst

Lakme Absolute Matte Lipcolor Orange Burst

Hi lovely ladies!!!

I’m back with another orange lipstick. My eyes keep hunting for a new launched orange lipstick every time I visit a mall. I don’t think there is even one orange lipstick in the market that I don’t have. My obsession for orange lipsticks is certainly never ending.

Rs.600 for 3.6ml

Enriched with vitamin E & Wheat oil, Lakme Absolute Matte Lipcolour keeps your lips soft, smooth & silky with every application.

My Experience with Lakme Absolute Matte Lipcolor Orange Burst

Starting with the packaging- it is similar to the other Lakme Absolute Matte lipsticks which is quite dull and boring gray packaging with the shade name written at the bottom of the lipstick tube. Finally Lakme has come up with a few bold lip colours without shimmer. They had few lovely shades in their 9 to 5 collection but due to the annoying shimmer in them- even the loveliest shades became quite unbearable to wear.

As soon as I saw an orange shade in this collection, I knew I had to grab it. This lipstick shade is really bright, vibrant, true orange shade. It’s not like Halloween makeup shade or neon orange. It is a true, clean bright orange that looks divine on the lips-especially when coupled with the fact that it’s matte with absolutely no gritty shimmer particles that Lakme is famous for.

The texture of this lipstick is really nice- superbly smooth and glides on the lips like a dream without any pulling or tugging. But after a while it settles down to a complete matte finish. Since this is a matte lipstick, I definitely recommend making sure your lips are properly exfoliated and conditioned before applying this because once the lipstick settles down it gives a dry feeling and it will show every little imperfection.
The lipstick is quite pigmented. One swipe is sufficient to get the amazing colour on your lips. I would recommend applying the second swipe of colour a few minutes after applying the first one because once the first layer dries up then the second layer comes out clean on the lips without settling much in the fine lines of your lips.

This lipstick stays true to its claim of being a long lasting lipstick. The color stays intact on the lips for a good 6-7 hours with very little fading and feels really light on the lips. This shade doesn’t stain the lips much. It has a slight vanilla smell which dissipates after a while.

Pros of Lakme Absolute Matte Lipcolor Orange Burst

-Beautiful orange shade.
-Completely matte with absolutely no shimmer.
-Smooth silky texture.
-Very pigmented.
-Lasts really long.
-Doesn’t stain the lips much.
-Subtle vanilla smell.

Cons of Lakme Absolute Matte Lipcolor Orange Burst

-Boring dull packaging.
-Need to exfoliate the lips and condition them prior to applying the lipstick.

Overall I love this shade, it is so gorgeous and really pops on your lips. You can add a lip balm or gloss on top of this lipstick to hydrate your lips if you need to. I think the true vibrant orange shade looks really great as a matte shade. I’m glad that I picked up this shade. If you love matte lipsticks, then do try this shade.
