My Experience with Lakme Absolute Matte Melt Liquid Lip Color Pink Poison:

The shade range of Lakme Absolute Matte Melt Liquid Lip Color is really gigantic with an array of about 20 shades. The colour selection is really amazing and has shades ranging from n*de to dark burgundy hues.

Packaging: Lakme Absolute Matte Melt Liquid Lip Color Pink Poison comes housed in a black cardboard box which contains all the details about the product. The matte lipstick comes in a long, cylindrical, transparent plastic tube with a black colored cap. The applicator of the lipstick comes attached to the black cap. It has a very convenient doe-foot shaped flat applicator which is soft and has sharp edges for neat and precise application. The shape of the applicator is just perfect for liquid lipstick application. You will not experience unwanted and uneven coverage with this type of a wand. It is quite small in size, yet helps you to get more hold and grip on the product flow. The colour of the tube is transparent and you can see through the shade of the lipstick from outside which actually helps in the shade identification process quickly.The shade name is mentioned on the side of the tube in black fonts. Ingredient details are not mentioned anywhere on the lipstick tube. Overall, I find the packaging very basic, sleek and minimalistic.

Shade: Lakme Absolute Matte Melt Liquid Lip Color Pink Poison is a pretty, warm-toned medium pink color. The shade will look good on women with fair to medium skin tones. It might not flatter dusky beauties. It is apt for both day and night-time wear and will look good with both subtle and bold eye makeup.

Pigmentation: The pigmentation of Lakme Absolute Matte Melt Liquid Lip Color Pink Poison would not give you opaque coverage in a single swipe, you would need to build the color in multiple swipes. Coming to the price point, the pigmentation could have been much better. I apply 2-3 coats of this lipstick and it covers my lips with maximum opacity. I avoid applying too many coats of color on the lips at one go and wait for one coat to settle down before I layer up with another coat for better colour. This lipstick is able to hide lip pigmentation successfully. Fragrance wise, it has a mild vanilla fragrance which is not bothersome. The fragrance lingers for some time after which it gradually fades away.

Texture and Finish: The texture feels like a medium, thick mousse and feels smooth, very creamy on the lips. The product when applied on the lips, spreads evenly without any tug or pull. It feels slightly sticky initially, but once it settles to a beautiful velvety matte finish, the sticky feeling is gone. Once it sets, it doesn’t move or budge. It also doesn’t give any feeling of dryness or discomfort that is usually associated with matte lipsticks. The formula is lightweight and feels comfortable to wear. It does take some to dry up well. So, the more you apply, the more time it takes to dry up. After you apply this lipstick, it takes about 3-4 minutes to dry down completely and then settles to a comfortable matte finish.

This lipstick doesn’t highlight dry patches or fine lines of the lips. Once it dries down completely, it is completely transfer proof as well. The application ensures a flawless and even finish with zero streakiness. I can also layer it up easily. If your lips are prone to dryness, but you love wearing matte lipsticks with a hydrating feel, this range from Lakme is worth giving a try.

Staying Power: On my lips, Lakme Absolute Matte Melt Liquid Lip Color Pink Poison stays for 7-8 hours. It does not crack or flake off during this time. With normal meals, the colour intensity is not affected much; however, with oily food, it comes off from the center of the lips. It leaves a stain as it is a dark shade, but reapplication is not an issue as the texture is really smooth and creamy. The staying power is not super long, but it is good to go for a few hours. Coming to the removal process, you can easily remove it with any makeup remover or wet wipe.

Overall, Lakme Absolute Matte Melt Liquid Lip Color Pink Poison performs decently and I love it to bits.
