Skin type: Oily and sensitive
Today’s review is going to be on Lakme Absolute day cream. I have been using their day and night creams for over two weeks now, so I thought to pen down my views.
Price: Rs. 115 for 15 g and Rs. 280 for 50 g
My Experience with Lakme Absolute Perfect Radiance Skin Lightening Day Cream:
New Lakme Absolute range has so many skin care products and they all are quite reasonably priced, but they are still not available in stores and stocked online. I wish the whole range is available very soon. This day cream comes in two different sizes, 15 g and 50 g. As the Lakme products don’t suit me well, I picked a smaller size to try.
This small one comes in a nice white cardboard box with all the details. Inside the box there is a small sleek tube with a glossy silver screw cap. Packaging is hygienic and absolutely travel friendly.
This cream has a nice medium creamy consistency which smoothly blends on skin. It is slightly pink in color and it looks like silky pink cream. Like all the Lakme products, it also has a very common floral smell which feels fresh and good on skin. I like this mild smell. It’s a day cream, but there is no SPF. It should have better sun protection. I never leave my home without a sunscreen, so I still need a good SPF product underneath this.
This cream glides very easily and I need a small amount to cover my face. Day cream has a nice matte texture which never feels heavy on skin. It gives a lovely, light velvety matte texture which is great for oily skin. It never makes skin dry. It is a nice cream for normal to oily skin. But as my skin turns extremely oily during summer, after few hours my T zone becomes oily and I need to blot the oil from face. This is not super effective to control oil. It makes skin soft and provides the decent hydration. But this cream can’t work well during winter. Actually it is not a moisturizing cream for dry skin.
It gives a very fresh instant glow to my face. It makes my skin bright and healthy. I didn’t believe in ‘Fairness’ kind of claim and it can’t make me fair honestly. It just provides a nice bright healthy glow. The brightness is just a temporary effect. It is good to add some glow to my dull face. It temporarily makes my skin 1 tone fairer but the brightness doesn’t stay long. It hardly stays for 3 hours on my super oily face during this hot summer. It claims to be an illuminating cream, and here the illuminated look means the bright glow only. It never broke me out. Overall, I had a nice experience with this day cream.

Cons of Lakme Absolute Perfect Radiance Skin Lightening Day Cream:

• Not for dry skin.
IMBB Rating: 4/5
Will I Repurchase/Recommend Lakme Absolute Perfect Radiance Skin Lightening Day Cream?
I like this cream definitely but it does nothing to repair my skin. During summer, I prefer a cream with good SPF. Oily skinned people can try this out. It has an instant brightening effect with a matte finish. But again keep in mind that the effect is temporary.
