Lakme Absolute Pink Fantasy Lip Tint Matte Review

It is next to impossible that there is a new launch and I do not pick up one or two from the range. So without much delay let us get on to the review of the new Matte Tint by Lakme Absolute Range in the shade Pink Fantasy.

My Experience with Lakme Absolute Pink Fantasy Lip Tint Matte:-

The packaging is classy and subtle I would say. The tube is matte which is in sync with the range. Also the shade is of the same color as that of the shade. The tube is twist-up style which is good because there is no product wastage in the sharpening process. Also it makes the lip color more travel friendly; only glitch would be when the tip falls flat. The outer paper carton has all the required information on the product.

The texture of the tint is more like a matte lipstick than a “tint”. Initially it felt a bit dry, but as I applied for a few times, the outer layer got removed and the actual texture was revealed. It was smooth but not creamy smooth. People with very dry lips would find it difficult to carry, if the lips are not pre moisturized or exfoliated. The texture is such that it would highlight dry patches and it would not be a pretty sight.

The pigmentation is medium to buildable. One swipe would give enough color to cover the pigmentation, but to get the full-on intensity, two swipes are needed. The good thing is, multiple layers do not make the lip color appear cakey or heavy on the lips. On the contrary, this is a very lightweight formula; just apply it and forget about it.

The shade as you can guess from the name is a pretty pink shade. There is no peach /brown/red undertones to it which is a good thing when it comes to pink lipstick lovers. It brightens up the face and also makes teeth appear whiter. You can pair this shade with pretty much any type of makeup and get away with it. The shade is so innocently beautiful that you can skip any other makeup other than kajal/mascara and look fresh and happy.

The staying power varies from 5-6 hours. I do not wear a lip liner with this so not taking that into consideration. The shade remain as it is for this long and after fading there is a hint of the shade left on the lips. I am not a fan of tinted lips, post fading but this one is an exception as the tint does not look cheap. So full marks on the staying power.
