Lakme Absolute Pore Fix Toner Review

Hello everyone.
I have a thing for toners, just cannot imagine skipping toner from my everyday beauty regime; so I see a new toner on the shelf, I pick it up. I had no idea Lakme had come up with this new toner in the Absolute range but now that I have used this for some days, here is my review on the same.

Lakme Absolute Pore Fix Toner Review (2)

Price: Rs. 275/- for 60ml

My Experience with Lakme Absolute Pore Fix Toner:

The packaging is very similar to the oil-based makeup remover from the house of Lakme. Similar size and plastic bottle packaging. The body and the cap is pretty lavender toned and being translucent you can see the amount of product left. The spray nozzle is protected with a sturdy plastic cap which shuts properly, no chances of spillage, I have travelled with this. The spray nozzle is not at all flimsy and dispenses quite a bit of product at one go.
The toner has a very typical cosmetic smell which I do not like at all. It is difficult to explain how sweet and synthetic the smell is. The good thing is the fragrance does not stay long; disappears after a while. The consistency is watery and little goes a long way. Due to the initial overpowering smell I never sprayed it as a mist on my face. I always use a cotton ball/pad for application.

One pro of the toner is, it is non-sticky and does not form a layer on the skin like many toners do. You would get an instant refreshing feel but for me the smell just steals away the pleasure of the pepped up feel. For me it seemed the price we are paying for 60ml is quite high and also it is not that effective in reducing pores. We have better products at lesser price available in the market. As it came in with tall claims, I was expecting a bit more from the product, nevertheless, it would serve the purpose of an everyday toner, nothing much to rave or regret.

  1. This looks so similar to the bi-phased makeup remover…I saw it in the store and didn’t look twice because I thought it was another makeup remover! Such a shame that it doesn’t do much for minimising pores; but I love that it’s alcohol-free. Alcohol is very drying on the skin & so many toners have alcohol these days…Lovely review 🙂

  2. I got this one too. N I liked it. But when I carried it in my bag, the plastic kind of melted due to extreme heat in car and the bottle became tilted. So, please beware of travelling with it in summers. 🙁 thought I will warn you.
